There are no Red States. Only Red farms.

The politically reddest areas in America are in areas that have more cows and swine than people

The Trumptards love to show the county breakdowns. Huge red swaths. Mostly sagebrush, tumbleweeds and gophers.

Buttfuck County, WY has 3 Trumpers and a feedlot.

you are full of shit. If you research to find the areas or cities or states with the most educated or highest IQ they will all be in blue places.

Education is now a credential of indoctrination in the WOKE religion, of witnessed YEARNING 4 UTOPIA...nothing more.

Welcome to corruption.

Which makes sense since people who, literally, live on top of each other tend to favor Hive Behavior whereas people who live apart from others tend to favor Individualist Behavior.

https://www.webmd.com/mental-health/what-is-hive-mentality
Hive mentality, also known as groupthink, is when a person has a strong tendency to fall for group decision-making. If someone has a hive mentality, they may feel invulnerable and morally correct when they're part of a certain group. They may also not be able to make decisions on their own. They often feel isolated or stressed when making decisions. That’s why they turn to a hive mentality.

Several signs help you identify whether you or someone you know has a hive mentality. There are pros and cons to this thought practice — some are helpful to your mental health, others not so much. Read on to learn more about what it means to think in line with a group....

...Pro: A strong sense of connection with others. Those with a hive mentality feel the strong social connection and mutual trust that forms within a group. Even if the group doesn't meet in person, the sense of social community can be a positive thing.

Pro: Social capital. Having a broad network of relationships leads to positive health outcomes, offering a greater sense of well-being. Having a collective identity can help you feel satisfied and part of something greater.

Con: No alternatives. When group decision-making fails to consider better alternatives before reaching a decision, it's considered defective groupthink. Defective decision-making is defined by the following characteristics:

  • Failure to create backup plans
  • Lack of research
  • Biased assessment of costs and benefits
  • Not taking full consideration of all decision options*

Con: A deterioration of personal judgment. Some people may have difficulty making decisions for themselves and need a group to tell them what attitudes they should adopt. Depending so heavily on the opinion of the group can make your thinking less effective and damage your moral judgment skills.

Agreed on most educated. The whole "highest IQ" thing is controversial, as many highly educated people know, since there are not only many forms of IQ but problems in measuring the differences.

There is also the factor of mental stability as the maxim about "a fine line between genius and insanity" points out. In short, people often fall within a norm of human behavior with extremes on both ends, not just one end. The same goes for different occupations. Two examples are police and FedEx pilots.

Obviously, citizens want police to be stable and capable of handling the monotony of their daily job. No one wants a police officer anxious to "make something happen". For this reason, the average IQ of police tends to be slightly above average at 104. Too high and it could cause social problems. https://www.police1.com/police-jobs-and-careers/articles/cop-iq-mm4tQlqvXInHppdW/

Airlines have multiple written tests when assessing pilot applicants. FedEx was notable for having a limitation on IQ; too high and the application was tossed. The reason was similar to that of police officers; a very high IQ might become quickly bored by a job requiring sitting in a cockpit for several hours every day. https://personalityanalysistest.com/average-iq/average-iq-of-airline-pilots-best-guide/
The average IQ of a pilot tends to be around the 119/120 mark.

What Is the Theory of Multiple Intelligences?
Summary
Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences shatters the notion that IQ testing is the only way to measure human intellect.

According to the theory, there are at least eight different types of human intelligence. Although someone may not do well on standardized tests that measure "general intelligence" or G factor, it doesn't mean they're not "smart" in other ways. MI theory reminds us that the scope of human intelligence is broad and multidimensional.

My only problem with the caricature of the farmer as the self-sustaining, isolated individualist, is that it took substantial collectivist action to make American farming a profitable business. The dams built for irrigation water sources, agricultural price subsidies, the rural electrification programs, the money dedicated to agricultural research and pesticide development, the use of satellite data & GPS in farming, the weather forecasting services all requires substantial collectivist and government actions

Yes, those maps of the nation showing isolated blue areas in a vast sea of read are totally misleading.

Only people vote. Tumbleweeds, prairie, corn fields, cattle, and swine do not vote.

Not speaking about only farmers, but anyone who prefers rural living over city living. Like most human differences, it's a range of behavior with Hive mind and Individualist Mind on opposite ends. An extreme of the latter would be the nutjobs living off the grid in Idaho running around the woods playing paintball games and wearing camouflage.

Understood that humans are social animals and, except for hermits, have a range of contact with or support from other humans. Even the WSE nutjobs need other people to make their weapons.

you're right

Yes I agree, certain personality traits are attracted to rural living.

Which is why it's important to compare a voting by county with a population density map. A simplified version is simply to look at the Electoral College number for each state.

That's better.

The fact is, the constitution says nothing about a presidential election being won by the majority of states.

Mathmatically, you can win the electoral college, even when only winning the popular vote in a minority of states.

So I have always thought the logic was flawed in representing the state of the race by drawing states on a map.

I don't have any brilliant ways for showing the state of the race better, but I know the constitution says nothing about the majority of states being the bellweather for President victory.

Which in lyingfish standards requires great knowledge of politics? Truck drivers put food on the table. People stocking shelves put food on the table. Cashiers put food on the table. Do you think you made a point? You did not.

And the irony is that those raising the most food are not the local small farmer as the right likes to think but rather large corporate farms often owned often by individuals living in those cities

With well over two centuries gone by, I would hope that we ALL know more than the founders.

Exactly, at the very least, of how their ideas apply to the world two hundred years removed from their world, the whole notion of “Originalism” is a complete sham

Both of which are smarter than any of the idiots in blue states.

As demonstrated by their lower education levels, lower incomes and shorter life spans. They do excel in per capita cigarette smoking and obesity, so give them credit there.
