Times Retracts Lies and Smears

But sometimes correcting faulty assumptions and stereotypes and having a discussion about "what is racist (The National Association For The Advancement of WHite People?)"is better overall, politics aside. This may be the proper time and place for that debate, as a country.
This is not one of those time.

If the central theme of his campaign was white supremacists are not racist or something equally retarded you would be right, but then he'd get even less of the vote than he already has.

Your "plan" is plain suicide. Nobody will ever get elected following your plan and you ensure that any issue you support will never get representation to support it in the future because you want to force failure onto candidates rather than live in reality.

This is stupid. The attempt to associate the NAACP with white supremacist groups is just plain the stupidest thing ever that any politician would ever try unless all that they wanted to do is fail and get a big target on their back.

But "politics as usual" is the problem.

The Revolution exists for you.
However, stupidity seems to be prevalent on all sides including the "politics as usual" crowd.

It would be stupid to derail his campaign and make it into what you propose rather than keep on message and work toward smaller, constitutionally limited, government.

When you can't argue Monetary Policy and Inflation and the value of the dollar, when you can't argue the importance of privacy in regards to liberty, when you can't debate that we need to reduce spending, when you can't debate on non intervention, when you can't debate him on property rights, when you can't debate him on anything that affects us to the most importance..........

...

You get weak smears like this.

Constitutionally limited government? We're bound by the un charter on shitthing everything. It's already over man! Now it's just about enforcement, and collapsing our standard of living without causing a riot.

You'e also assuming these tracks lead somewhere. Maybe this holdup is part of the show? Voila -- The real agenda.

Yeah, because somehow attempting to equate supremacist neo-nazi groups with the NAACP will fix all that...

Trying to equate? The equation is simply evident, perceivable by all. This is the bedrock of all science, simple observation of existing truths. I guess I'm just a genius.

This is just a test. We libs have spent years having the finger of accusation pointed at us by "principled" libertarians for being blind, partisan worhsippers of everything Democratic.

When your turn came to condemn, or at least distance yourself, from the laundry list of racially insensitive actions of Ron Paul, you chose to spin like a political consultant for him.

You failed the test. :)

What racially insensitive actions? An article he did not write and has repudiated? A donation from some idiot whose ideas he has repudiated?

He doesn't by pointing out that they are being played. Those people will not listen past the first "Ron Paul keeps money from Racist Bastages" headlines. He threw that obstacle in his own path.

What makes you think they will listen past "Ron Paul Received Money from Racists" headlines?

Pointing out stupid political moves isn't "trashing" RP, Strings. When my candidate does something stupid I surely point it out and this was a biggie.

I did not say you trashed him. I don't agree it is all that stupid. You are not going to make this go away by giving the money back, because the sole intent here is to smear. They don't give a fuck if he denounces the ideas, that it has no affect on his voting or even if he gives the money back.

What part of the sentence, "They won't listen past" equates to this? You make no sense.

Right.... However, there would be no stories at all about him keeping the cash and therefore that continued perception had he made a smarter decision.

2B fair, damo's hasn't failed quite yet. Give him time though.

Why so hostile? You still sore over the ass whipping on organ transplants?

You said they won't listen past "Ron Paul keeps money from Racist Bastages." Why do you think they will listen past the fact that he received it.

Right.... However, there would be no stories at all about him keeping the cash and therefore that continued perception had he made a smarter decision.

There would still be stories that he received it, Damo. And judging by the ethical behavior of those engaged in the smear, who knows if they'd even bother mentioning that he returned it.

:corn: Really? You think? I think maybe assmunch has a point. Perhaps this is the time to equate the NAACP with white supremacy groups and dare the public to come up with a difference. Viva la revolution!

Just as there are stories that HillBillary received cash from that felon. This is going round in circles. Had she not given the money back as there was no evidence it was gained illegally it would have hounded her. What part of that seems smart? Well, the part where she gave it back does.

Now, this story hounds Paul from now until the end of the campaign he'll be questioned on it with no answer other than, "I'm not racist!" What part of that seems smart? Well, not the part where he let this follow him.... that's for sure.
