It's Palestine that is nothing without foreign aid.
Israel's GDP is about $550 billion a year with a per capita (per person) generation rate of about $58,000. Israel receives 0, ZERO, economic aid from the US currently and about $4 billion in military aid up to the war with Hamas where that's jumped to about $12 billion. About half of US military aid is in the form of joint R&D into advanced weapons systems like drones and surface-to-air missiles (like Iron Dome).
Israel is currently spending about 5% of their GDP on defense up from 4.5 prior to the current war. That's about $28 billion. They are spending about $275 million a day on the current war.
Palestine's (both Gaza and the West Bank) GDP is about $17.5 billion per year with a per capita (per person) generation rate of about $770. Palestine receives about $4.5 billion a year in economic aid, Qatar providing the biggest chunk of that, while the US contributes about $250 million making up about 26% of their GDP. Hamas spends about $100 million on military equipment a year.
Thus, if the US stopped all aid to Israel, they could easily and quickly go elsewhere for support for their munitions while their civilian economy would suffer little, if at all. On the other hand, if foreign aid to Palestine ended, the country would be in a far worse disaster than the basketcase it currently is. There would be mass starvation and the various terrorist groups, like Hamas, wouldn't have two dinars to rub together to buy so much as a box rifle ammunition.

The U.S. has built Israel's military via billions in handouts. Any GDP that Israel might have comes from decades of looting Palestine's natural resources.

I gave you the numbers. Israel's military is mostly self-financed, and a big chunk of US military aid is for R&D that the US benefits from. For example, Raytheon builds the Iron Dome system. They used US-Israeli technology to build the Patriot SAM system and improve the Navy's Standard missile system.
