i think a lot of pro-lifers would be converted if this were explained to them. A lot of people have an image of like a fully grown baby having their brains scrambled with an egg beater. if people realized that the vast majority of abortions is like flushing a goldfish down the toilet people would be likely pro-choice I think. I honestly think a lot of the pro-life side of the debate is just grossly misinformed, but well intentioned.

Not likely. A lot of people consider it a human life. Me, personally, I wouldn't give a shit if we did partial birth abortions. My wife won't have one and that's all that matters.

I DO think the potential father should have some say in it.

I think you would find out that you are quite wrong. I think you exaggerate how people view the child as it develops. It is also NOTHING like flushing a goldfish. It is a unique human life you are ending. That is a scientific fact. Attempts to dehumanize the child due to its developmental stage is nothing but an attempt to make the pro-abortionists feelz better about taking a life.

abortion = ending that unique human life.

As for the brain, it is thought to be fully constructed by the eighth week... construction beginning in the first few weeks. Development of the brain continues as we get older... it is not full developed until long after we are born.

The brain begins developing neurons and synapses and movement begins around the 7/8th week after conception.
