It takes two seconds to find, what anyone would know, is that built in to the system is exclusions for those not eligible to vote, just as in 24 other States that do this.

Only Trump cult derps think this is rocket science and complain against this when also complaining they want voters to use a Drivers license or similar lever ID.

To the TS question in OP, the reason republi'can's and especially Trump cultists do not want automated voter registration is because they have accepted they cannot win when more people vote.

They understand their racist, xenophobic, anti LGBTQ views are increasingly costing them voters, and while the Republi'can' party could easily compete and win elections based on classic conservatism with heaps of religious conservatism, which appeals strongly to black and latino voters, and prior Republi'cans' from Reagan to both Bush's realized that, the problem is the 30% of Trump base voters, simply cannot tolerate expanding the tent to include the various brown people.

So they doubled down on their version of the Southern Strategy which is to shrink their voting to its most hardcore supporters (which virulent racist always are, as you see in this forum) which means they can now only win via voters suppression and extreme gerrymandering.
