Stunning Shocker: Left-Wing Site Unearths Video of Romney Speaking Like Conservative!

Who would you have preferred? Pawlenty was very full of ... 5% growth... lol

The other mormon seemed ok.

Paul seemed to benefit from the tea party but his baggage would have been hard to shed.

None of the above.

It would have been much better for them had they nominated someone like Charlie Christ or someone in the mold of a Jack Kemp.

Argue it with the IRS Dixie.

I don't need to argue with anyone, like I said, I have first-hand knowledge. My niece, who recently deployed, got a $100k signing bonus, you don't think she had to pay income tax on that? My brother-in-law who is Special Ops made close to $120k last year, you don't think he had a tax liability? I already posted the rather lengthy list of pinheads who chimed in when I said that SS recipients didn't have taxable incomes, to 'inform' me they do pay income taxes, but now... suddenly... they don't? It's hilarious the way you people jump back and forth, one minute they do, one minute they don't, depending on the argument at hand! Romney wasn't talking about people on SS or military vets, he was talking about the "Sandra Flukes" and the Occutards, who think government is there to wipe their ass. It is YOU and YOU ALONE who has lumped in the seniors and vets, and tried to include them in the deadbeat demographic, and I am just pointing out that glaring and disgusting detail. A lot of people might not realize how unhinged you've become, and exactly how you feel about the military and old people. I think this is a real eye-opener. Romney didn't say these things, YOU interjected them into what he actually said. YOU have tried to make this stick, and YOU have failed, AGAIN!

He said a lot more than that, he accused ALL of those who dont pay Federal Income Tax of being slackers, dependent on the government.

No, you just "heard" it because that is the straw man you want to run against.

SS income is taxable income, even though you denied that it was. That does not mean all SS recipients will have a tax liability. Some will get a full refund.

Those in combat zones are not taxed on income earned their. They still have to file and may get a full return on taxable income earned while not in the combat zone.

The EITC is available to both groups and so they might even get more back than they paid in to begin with.

Both groups certainly have members who are PART of the 47%.

YOU said they were deadbeats.

Both groups do pay income taxes. These were NOT who Romney was talking about. The only people who have classified them in the same category as deadbeats, are LIBERALS trying to make this stick to Romney. Nowhere did Romney say this, nowhere have I said it. YOU are making the inferences, YOU are interjecting them into the demographic, YOU are failing to make the point.

Crist (no h) is nothing but a political opportunist like Romney. I have known him for decades now.

He is just another one of Connie Mack's boys. His seeming lack of partisanship is just so he can profit from both sides as he has repeatedly in covering up his friends dirty business.

Jack Kemp... at least he seemed to actually take a firm stand on things.

No matter what you say... MANY OF THEM DO NOT! I have cited IRS code. As is usual, you offer nothing but your ignorant and unprovable anecdotes.

ROMNEY included them. YOU called them deadbeats.

Where did Romney include them? Point out the specific portion of his speech where he even mentioned them? You CAN'T! HE DIDN'T! and neither did I.... YOU DID!

Now you can keep flapping your chicken wings and clucking about how he did, and I did, but those are not the facts of reality. This means you have broken away from reality completely, and now live in some bizarr-o-world where people "say" things they simply don't say. You can't show where they "said" the things you claim, all you can do is cluck around the barnyard, acting like the chicken-brained idiot you have become. I'm loving every second of this!

The part where he said 47% have no tax liability. That included many soliders and SS benfiaries. Do you even know what it means to not have a tax liability? I doubt it.

Maybe this left wing source will help.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/20...nt-with-no-taxes-include-elderly-poor-workers

Deductions, Exemptions

Elderly Americans and low-wage workers make up most of those who don’t pay. For 2011, 46 percent of households didn’t pay federal income taxes, according to the Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan group in Washington. About half had no tax liability because of standard deductions and personal exemptions designed to exclude subsistence levels of income from taxation.

The rest received tax breaks including the earned income tax credit, the child tax credit, an exclusion of combat pay and tax benefits for older Americans such as the partial exclusion of Social Security benefits from income.

The part where he said 47% have no tax liability. That included many soliders and SS benfiaries. Do you even know what it means to not have a tax liability? I doubt it.

He didn't say that. He said 47% are voting for Obama. You assumed he was saying something he never said. He even clarified his remarks, and you have still attempted to make him say something he didn't say. You construed it this way, because in your mind, people who draw SS pensions and soldiers are government dependents just like welfare recipients, that's how you think, that's what you believe. But Romney just didn't say that, and I didn't say it... no one has, except LIBERALS!

Yeah, he says what I said, yesterday. Almost none of the people who are in that 47% will be offended because they simply will not think he is talking about them. It really won't have the effect that they are saying it will...

This is purely antedotal but here is what a black friend of mine posted on Facebook yesterday:

"There was a time when I depended on the government to send me my unemployment check every 2 weeks. That makes me a part of the 47%. With that being said, I leave you with 3 words. 1)Fuck 2)Mitt 3)Romney!"

Now my friend is an Obama supporter and never would have supported Romney anyway. But to me Romney''s comment does nothing to encourage people to change their way of thinking (I'm speaking long-term). I really like what the Journal had to say here in their column entitled What Romney Might Have Said:

I don't disgree with you on Christ .. however, as flaky as he might be, he's still be a lot better than Romney. He wouldn't have made the same stupid mistakes Romney has, and there wouldn't have been the Eastwoody moment.

There isn't a lot to choose from on the right these days.

lol.....you're aware of the connection between Ryan and Kemp I expect?......

I'm know that Ryan worked for Kemp claims that he is his role model .. even though he's nothing like Kemp and Kemp was nothing like Ryan.

Jack Kemp was a moderate, championed Social Security, and worked well with democrats .. none of which that can be said about Ryan.

really?....he's trying to save SS and has been re-elected several times in a district that voted for Obama in 08.....

There is nothing remotely moderate about the republican House, nor is there anything remotely moderate about Ryan's budget .. which Kemp would not have approved of, nor would he have approved of his plans for SS .. and if Kemp were still alive and in office he'd get a primary challenge from a Tea Party candidate like Ryan.

Good thinking on Ryan's part to refuse to give up his seat while trying to be the VP.

This Christmas he'll still have a job.
