To me, this sounds like something out of North Korea.
I see no reason to get outraged over a collection of shallow, soulless, scrap-grabbing proles. There will always be proles among us, and they help fuel the economy. They also detract from it by voting leftist demagogues into power.
I spent Thanksgiving day cooking with my family, transporting the wife's grandmother from the nursing home so she could spend the day with us, eating a good chicken dinner and visiting. I spent Black Friday squirrel hunting and am now smuggling those KY squirrels back to OK.
My point? I chose to participate in those activities on those days. That's the beauty of this country. We have plenty of choices. I wouldn't go shopping on Thanksgiving...but some would. That's their choice.
You said you chose to stay home with your family on the holiday, did the people who were forced to work on the holiday get a choice like you did?
If you were forced to work on the holiday, you'd be whistling a whole different tune on this thread, now wouldn't you, Mr. I love capitalism.
Most didn't get overtime you degenerate.
The fact is the world doesn't stop because it is a holiday. Policeman, firemen etc still have to work on Thanksgiving.
Retail is not part of the vital services industry.
Do you know the difference between the vital services and the non vital services?

I am convinced that most of these people were raised in a barn by farm animals.

Here we have America's ever driving consumerism of gluttony by the self serving, self gratifying element of the nation on full display on the nation's day that was set aside for a day of reflection and for giving thanks. Whom do I blame for this? Scenes such as these that were unheard of just a short time ago on Thanksgiving? I don't blame the retailers, I blame them, the pleasure seekers and the educational system they all came out of that relentlessly teaches them anti western moral relativism and ever driving consumerism that never finds a happy or satisfying conclusion but always teaches more gluttony for consumer credit spending and ever growing debt.
Scenes like this that were commonplace across the country on Thanksgiving were not scenes of soup lines or people in dire need of charity, they were scenes of pleasure seekers looking for bargains on Playstation 4's and HD widescreens.
but wholey fucking god are you an idiot.
You don't get to cling to your historically failed economic ideas and BLAME everyone for greed except they very people who benefit the most from your self planned greed fest
