Dead kids and our 1st and 2nd amendment rights...

that's something i've never been able to grasp about liberal illogic. do they think that all of us former military people were de-programmed to forget all of our training when we got out?

Do you think they would all join forces with you to overthrown the govenment they swore to protect and serve? I know my family members would fight against you?

Yeah, again, what's your point? It didn't deter a bunch of illiterate goat farmers in the middle of a damned desert with no military training and a complete inability to target U.S. supply lines. They've stood and fought us for a decade+ and we still haven't managed to beat them.

Have we really truly tried?

Most would, if only to get their VA claims processed. But again, only about 100,000 people are needed.

We nuked Vietnam? We nuked Germany? Cite.

We unleashed more explosive power on both nations. Nuclear weapons simply take fewer bombs to achieve a similar result as conventional bombs. They aren't somehow special, just bigger. More people died in the fire raids on Tokyo than either of the nuclear attacks.

...and the govt. would use the same weaponry on American rebels as it uses in Iraq, Pakistan, etc. And the govt. has strength in numbers, I think you're overestimating how many people here would rise up against it. Most are too content with the American lifestyle to consider it.

Exactly, what would rebels give to the American people that they don't get from the current government. The freedom they hope to instill would be limited due to having to put down those factions that don't want their form of government. If they did rebel their freedom would also be gone because they would live a rebels life that would mimic the goat herders of Afghanistan.

Apparently this is a pointless venture to continue discussing with you two. Thousands of years of revolutionary history and yet you somehow feel it's now impossible.

We did not unleash the full capacity of our military in any war since WWII and you know it. Our own citizens would have been outraged.

Ok Rana, Ok. But even if what you say is true (it isn't), the citizens would be somehow less outraged if it was their friends and neighbors and family being killed? They wouldn't even have to be a part of the resistance, just in the same locality. You wouldn't be outraged if your grandchildren were incinerated by Sir Drones-A-Lot?

The fire raids killed a lot of people over a longer period of time than the nuking and still didn't result in surrender. That came about a few days after dropping the bomb.

I do currently, not to say it can't happen in the future, but there are not enough of you malcontents at the present time to do anything that would result in overthrowing the government.
