There seems to be some confusion on the part of gun nuts. Who's surprised?

I'm just a voter. I fully support an assault weapons ban and vote accordingly. My day job is in marketing. I help companies market their brand. That's what I'll be doing.

What the authorities will do about it is up to them. I don't care. If they don't do anything about a handful of Rambo wannabees sitting in the woods making banned weapons, that's fine. If they arrest you, that's fine. If they shoot you, that's the way the ball bounces. I suggest when a ban is passed, and it will be eventually, you contact an attorney or the authorities yourself if you are curious. LOL. That's actually a little trick. Don't contact the authorities. "Hi I am wondering if it's okay if I sit in the woods and fashion homemade assault weapons?" I'd consult an attorney. That's all I can tell you. Good luck STY.

I don't have a number. It'll be a lot fewer dead than what we have now, and frankly the dead will be far less sympathetic than the 20 kindergarten kids slaughtered in terror, when moments before they were dreaming about what Santa was going to bring them in 10 days.

really what is the ban? does it really matter? I'm all for Constitutional governance ( gawd knows we lack it)-
but what is the practical difference to gun enthusiasts ? (asking rather then debating here)

the practical difference is it actually creates a large group of criminals out of law abiding citizens. that's the difference.

As I said, it would be far fewer than we have now. And any number of dead children is good for you as long as you get what you want. I have no problem with you being collateral damage in protecting the country's children. Rambo wannabees holed up someplace just aren't as sympathetic as this:

I don't think the "assault ban" will make a damn bit of difference to the next shooter,
and I get how intrusive regs are inherently against American freedom -but it's the times we live in when we have to be legislated/regulated safe from everything.

If I thought the ban was going to do it..ok..but we can't even confront the idea of Islamic terrorism

Why would I, an unarmed middle-aged woman, come to get anyone's weapon stockpile? Is that what you have them for? To protect you against unarmed middle-aged women? Isn't talking tough on the internet to them keeping you safe enough? Do you need a diaper now?
