Not that this helps but to know you are not alone here's what's happening where I live.

Our school just received a nice, large library grant. We’ve bought new books and have bought chrome books so that we are very near a 1:1 student to technology ratio (a chrome book for every student). There’s all kinds of education money here for gadgets and stuff, but none for salaries. Every dollar of money in education is earmarked for this or for that, at least in Oklahoma. A building fund or a textbook account or a cafeteria fund, etc ... and then general fund which can be used for salaries. In Oklahoma the [money that can go into] general funds of schools has been consistently cut for the last 12 years or so.
Good teachers are leaving for Texas and Arkansas by the hundreds. I’m here because I’m loyal. I love what I do and the area in which I live. Plus I have another job to supplement my salary by about 10k per year. And I’m getting older and my bills have gotten smaller. But I do worry about the future of our state when it comes to education.
