Trump Administration moves to end legal marijuana.

A drugged society is a more pliable society

I can understand how living in Commiefornia would make someone want to alter their mental state

People are going to smoke weed whether it's legal or not. If you support free markets why not support the decriminalization of weed and not have the govt spend so much time and money on it?

Opioid deaths are down by double digits in states where marijuana is legal.

But Sessions still thinks pot is almost as bad as heroin. One fool stuck in the past shouldn't be able to oppose the will of a majority of Americans like this.

it looks like all this does is leaves it up to the local government to decide things.

The stupidity of the above is astounding. Sessions is the attorney general of the US. It is a federal law that he is referencing. It would be 'active judiciary' if he were to state that the law should not be followed. It is up to congress to change the federal law. Not the AG. He has discretion as to which crimes to focus his department on. He is passing that discretion on to the state AG's.

There are only 7 states that have legalized rec use of mj. SEVEN. So no, it has not been decided by the people. I live in CO, the benefits to the state far outweigh the negatives. There is next to zero chance our AG goes after the local businesses that have been set up and that provide so much revenue to the state.

NO SIMPLEFREAK.
HE ISN'T PASSING IT ON TO STATE AGs.
HE IS PASSING IT ON TO U.S. AGs.

FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP REPEATING THIS LIE.

Prove any of these accusations.
You can't.
I am pro gun, anti government and anti insurance.
Prove elsewise or be forever known as a liar.

So you're a Democrat who believes in GOP policies. I've known that for years. It's not "cool" to be a Republican in Massachusetts, and you are afraid to be chastised by your neighbors.

what?? are you claiming Sessions is issuing a new memo? He specifically turned it back to the USAG's

Can you fucking read?

There are state A.G.s and there are U.S. AGs in every state.
It is in the OP and specifically quoted at the botton of page 1 of this thread.

Superfreak has repeatedly claimed that Sessions turned it over to STATE Ags.

That is not the case and if it were there wouldn't be any thing to talk about.

Marriage is a right protected by the FEDERAL CONSTITUTION.

Where is the word marriage in the FEDERAL CONSTITUTION?

If you read it, that words doesn't exist. If you read further in the Constitution, it says where the authority to regulate does.

Guess an ambulance chaser wouldn't know such things.

I agree with much of that, especially that progress comes from the Democratic Party.

I've seen the err of my ways and have abandoned all thoughts of 3rd party challenges. The Democratic Party is the only option for people of color and we must demand changes from within.

Other than that ..

:kiss2: :0)

Exactly!

Get the rest of your cheerleaders on this board -------------------->here<--------------------------- and we could be a force to be reckoned with and get these sleezy, slimmy, slivering, sons a bitches out of office immediately. Those who voted 3rd party or stayed home are just as responsible for this heathen in office as those who voted for him.

This farce of an administration has gone on too long.

batting my eyes:-)

I'm not arguing anything, YOU asked me a question.

But since you asked. Nixon started the drug war.....the country has been on board with it ever since. The only people I know who wanted to end the war on drugs are Blacks. But white people don't listen to us.

The dems never had enough power to end the drug war and there are some who didn't want to. They too, are misinformed and lied to about MJ, just as they were about the Iraq war and anything else that the racist right puts forward.

I won't buy into this both sides shit because there were a few dems who did put forth an effort to end the drug war, but as usual it fell on deaf ears.

The entire war on drugs was started by racist white men who wanted to continue slavery.

Get back to me when your ready to address that instead of trying to blame the drug war on Dems and President Obama.

I said nothing about how the drug war started. You said its results are racist. So why hasn't the Democratic Party overturned it today? Why haven't they made it a bigger part of their pitch to voters?

You're saying to BAC the party will act when it's constituents are ready so what are the constituents waiting for? Are racist white male democrats holding them back?

Ive made that argument about abortion also.

So you're a Democrat who believes in GOP policies. I've known that for years. It's not "cool" to be a Republican in Massachusetts, and you are afraid to be chastised by your neighbors.

I take what I like from either party and leave the rest.

I get that weed is a personal choice that affects only you (for the most part). Abortion affects a child. Not the same to me

A fetus is not a child. A strong argument can be made that weed affects the entire society. Much like weed, making abortion illegal wont stop anyone from doing it.
