No it is pretty easy. Wait and see.
Giving up 22 billion for 5 billion? the math makes no sense.

It makes as much sense as not being willing to spend 5 billion but being willing to spend 22 billion instead.
$5 billion for a wall is a waste of money, the $22 billion goes for a whole lot more. Maybe you need to read up?
Which is why it will be pretty easy for trump to say no. Wait and see. Care to dance around the May pole yet again? The emocrats wouldn't have gone to $22B if they didn't know the re-opening of the government by Trump will turn against them on February 15 if and when the government shuts down again. This 22B idea makes it even worse for them when that happens, but they can't see that yet.
Take it to the bank, the government will never shut down again. Most Republicans would not let this happen. Massive damage has been done to your party, and you want to do it again?
The Green Party is rather unscathed by all this, and it doesn't matter what I do or do not want. It has no bearing on what is quite inevitable if the democrats do not compromise on the wall. They have already handed Trump their "we can't afford it" card and the GOP their "no deficit spending" card back. They have already played the "if you re-open the government, then we will negotiate" card. They are rather politically boxed in the corner now.
The democrats have offered billions more to trump, but none of it for a wall. He can take it or leave it. His options are extremely limited.

The Democrats can compromise and gets something or refuse to compromise and get nothing. They are about to prove that they don't actually care about the DREAMers.
No his option is to shut the government down.
You can't expect to do the exact same thing and get different results. The last shutdown was devastating for the Republicans and you want to do it again?
Again, it doesn't matter what I want. Trump will do it again if the democrats don't move. That is just reality. He is already preparing for his declaration of national emergency. That is just reality. The democrats are going to be boxed tighter and tighter into their corner. That is just reality. This is far beyond policy. Trump is pissed that his willingness to reopen the government to try to negotiate was painted by the press as a failure and him caving. He won't do it again. He is too ego maniacal. That is just reality.
Trumps government shutdown was a failure. It accomplished nothing but total capitulation to the Democrats. If he chooses to shut down the government the results will be fatal, if he chooses to declare a fake emergency, it will be tied up in the courts for years. He has no way out.
He does have a way out---the democrats will be forced to surrender. It won't be a fake emergency if the government is shut down. Either way, Congress has already delegated the President the authority to 1) declare emergencies; and 2) enter into contracts for national defense and prepay them during times of emergency. He could fund the entire $22B cost of the big wall instead of the $5.7B only about half of which is for some walls that the democrats oppose and come out smelling like roses. It also will not likely be tied up in court for years. If the government is shut down, the SCOTUS would likely grant expedited review.
I am afraid you are having wet dreams. But believe what you want.
You should be afraid. Care to guess who has already said the President can do just what I stated?
That right wing National Public Radio. There are well over a hundred specific statutes granting the POTUS emergency powers. He doesn't need to use them all, but he might.
Trump has only offered a 3 year extension for the dreamers, that is a non starter.
Is that the official position of most of the actual DREAMers?
A partial solution for the DREAMers in exchange for partial funding for the wall. If your side wants something comprehensive, they need to give something comprehensive. You guys want permanent legal status and a pathway to citizenship for all the illegals? Our side wants a physical barrier and an end to chain migration and the visa lottery. That's how compromise works. Not your side gets everything they want while the other side gets a small fraction of what they want.
Are you suggesting that drugs and illegal immigrants aren't entering the US, at any place; but the entry points??
