Where's the calls for jail time for this wife beater?

It disturbs me that he got physical like this. Both behaved badly but when she grabbed his phone and in response he threw her to the ground, it makes me think it's not the first time he manhandled her.

I wonder what could have been on that phone that her grabbing it made them have a public scene. What made a recognizable guy like Bauer go off like this in public, where someone was sure to recognize him?

My gut says lock him up for a few days until he thinks over his reaction, but my head says even if he gets charged he wouldn't go to jail.

Christie: "It disturbs me that he got physical like this."
Jack: The woman stole his phone, what's he suppose to do?

Christie: "Both behaved badly but when she grabbed his phone and in response he threw her to the ground'
Jack: He DIDN'T 'throw her to the ground'. She fell off the chair while he was attempting to retrieve his stolen propeerty.

Christie: "it makes me think it's not the first time he manhandled her."
Jack: He didn't 'manhandle' her. from the Video YOU provided, it's clear his intent was to reacquire his stolen property.

Christie: "What made a recognizable guy like Bauer go off like this in public,"
Jack: Just off the top of my head ... i would say some dumbass stealing his phone.

Christie: "My gut says lock him up for a few days"
Jack: My gut, ... my gut tells me the THIEF needs to learn about keeping her hands off other people's property. (I think there's something in the Bible about STEALING, one of the Big Ten)

It will continue to be in the news as he just stepped away from his role as team's CEO while they investigate. Ultimately the OP is just stupid as there is no way someone is going to jail over the video we've all seen.

Edit: You have to remember this is San Francisco. To live here is to hear people argue all the time in the street. Now granted it's usually not someone as well known as Larry Baer but my point is to hear people arguing isn't a natural instinct to turn on your camera and record.

Having watched that snippet of video, it seems that it would be difficult to prove intent. So, you might be right about no prosecution.

Here's the video.

Do you teach your daughters to steal?
Do you tell them it's OK because unlike males, they have vaginas and the Rules don't apply to them.
Is it OK for the Wife to take a Man's phone, but if the situation was reversed, and the Man took the Wife's phone, it would be OK for the Wife to do anything to get her phone back?

I don’t support violence nor do I support the hitting of women. It is crazy to me that multiple people think Baer should go to jail over this.

Nothing normal about that.

Even if jpp dot com teabaggers can't see that he did anything wrong, the dude himself apologized and clearly recognized that he crossed a line.

If she grabbed his phone, she owes an apology for that. That would obviously constitute a jerk move.

He clearly needs to work on self control. Any normal adult capable of logic, control, persuasion, and self-restraint would have been able to diffuse the situation by talking. By using words, rather than executing some sort of Judo moves on his spouse. His actions are something he needs to seriously reflect upon, because there was nothing, nada, zilch, that was normal about that.

No one said his behavior was normal dude. That isn’t behavior that gets you sent to jail. Not a difficult concept to understand and it was nothing to do with being a teabagger.

Not theft. They are married. He was wrong big time.

Did YOU see this guy 'HIT' anybody? You can make up a fictitious story, claiming he punched her in the face, he kicked her, he threw her to the ground, jumped on her head with both feet, ... or you can watch the Video and see that he was trying to reacquire his phone that was taken from him.
Do you support stealing? Is it OK to steal if you have a vagina? Are the Rules different if you are a woman versus if you are a man?

Cawacko: "It is crazy to me that multiple people think Baer should go to jail over this."
Jack: Anybody think the woman should go to Jail for theft? Who started the whole thing?

How fucking hard is it to NOT steal shit? Who's the fucking Dumbass here? Would this guy be trying to get his phone back if the woman hadn't stole it in the first place?
Fuck! It's like people have entered the fucking Twilight Zone on this.

Will he be asked to step down? If he were a Black athlete he'd been in cuffs already and his career would be destroyed.

San Francisco Giants CEO Takes Leave Of Absence After Appearing To Attack Wife
Larry Baer will take “personal time away,” the team said after a bystander video captured him having an altercation with his wife.

If he was black, he'd have been shot dead by now. But because he is white - and probably a fucking republicunt - he'll keep his 7 figure job and continue to abuse his wife.

There must be more of that video that we have not seen. Otherwise that spectator would have been "lucky" to capture those 20 seconds. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this.
It's been written that there was a lengthy argument that led to "this"... so both share responsibility for the incident...

Why are people always so sanctimonious and quick to judge? Haven't they learnt anything from the Covington Incident?

hahahahaha ....
Some times females get bored. So ... they fuck with you until you understand that they are demanding you fuck their brains out. It's either, you step up to the plate ... or they find someone else that will.
PS: If I lived in Miss Phantasmal's World of Stepford ... I would have to kill myself. :(
Yeah, it’s why I avoided guys like you. I want a man who respects me. I want friends who do the same. People who respect others don’t have these types of confrontations.

IF that was his phone. He didn't kick or hit her, and assuming it was his phone, simply trying to take it back, albeit aggressively, doesn't make him a monster just because the person he's trying to take it from is his other half and falls to the ground. Wtf is this country coming to when people see this and make this big-a-deal out of it?

He never touched her. She went nuts, screaming like a banshee when he grabbed the phone. If she had just let go of the phone and dealt with the matter later, she wouldn't have toppled over in the chair.
