But should they choose to limit democracy based on the political views of the people? Depending on the state, they'd essentially be able to decide the president every time. Imagine if Texas and South Carolina decided that from now on only Liberals were allowed to vote.

Ok. Let's do all the states. The red states contribute 49.73% of the nation's GDP--pretty evenly divided.

So the statement that "Red states contribute nothing. Red states produce nothing" is obviously BS and should read "red states contribute half of the nation's GDP."

Texas produces 37% of the nation's crude oil, 24% of the natural gas, 31% of the refining capacity, and 25% of wind powered electricity.

Courts have also imposed a few other restrictions on the right of states to set voting qualifications; for example, the residency requirement cannot exceed about 30 days.

They would be getting the same benefits regardless of the state they live in (except Medicaid). But the point is that a lot of the benefits going to red states are from those entitlements and not based on the lower income of those states. Retirees often move to warmer southern states and therefore the blue states are not subsidizing the red states for these benefits.

It is a fact that those red states need money because of blue cities, within their state, with high populations. It is also a fact that the ten poorest cities are run by democrats. Chicago and Detroit are just a few of them.

Is that so?? Where do you think the coal/natural gas/oil/etc. comes from to fuel your vehicles? Where do you think your food products come from? Where do you think your electricity comes from? And so on and so forth... It doesn't just mysteriously appear in front of your face...
