Apparently, according to stonebystone, the "racist trope" is used against both non white skinned people AND white skinned people. It is used against any race, but has nothing to do with race. He seems to indicate that it is an immigration thing, not a race thing. Lefties just like the politically charged racism word, even though it is not about race.

I've seen, heard, and read about it. Even in my high school, I would see Chinese-Americans be told to "go back to China." This started after the Civil War and it's STILL happening in the 21st century.

I know that racism is exaggerated in America, but that doesn't mean racism doesn't exist at all here. Certain racist tropes have been with us for decades and this is one of them.

This is not a racist trope if it is not being used against people because of their race. Chinese is not a race, it is a nationality. Racism is exaggerated in America because of people like you who ignorantly label chinese, mexican, and Muslim as races, which they are not. Lefties hijack the word "racisim", which is they only word that can be used to describe what happens to victims of actual racism, from the people who really need it. Do yourself a favor and research what five races are recognized by the US census, and make sure to reference which of these five races is being offended when you are talking about racism. Racism is about race, and race must be involved for there to be racism.

It's used against Blacks too. Like I said, it was often said to Blacks after the Civil War. These were people who had been living in America for generations and were still told to go back to Africa.

It's racist if it's used against anyone for racial reasons.

Look at South Africa. There are white people there who have been living in that country for generations and the black Africans still tell them to go back to Europe. That's racist too because, like with Trump's tweets, the implication is that you will never be one of us because of your race.

Yes, what makes it a racist trope is that there's a long history of it being used against specific people for racial reasons. If race wasn't an issue and it was said to anyone, like "fuck you," then it wouldn't be a racist trope.
What it's really about is "go back to your country" being used to target non-white people and tell them that they don't belong here because of their race.

Why dont you provide information about how it has been used so much for racial reasons instead of all the immigration reasons that you have listed so far?

If I were to burn a cross on a black person's lawn, would you say my implication is up to interpretation? Or would you understand that burning a cross in front of a black person's house has a very clear implication because it's an old racist trope?
