The Republicans have their faults but they are our fellow Americans and we have to learn how to live with them.

This is a very good time for all Democrats to be very considerate.

Republicans are going to be in various states of denial and depression.

Let us try our best to be good winners.

For a time, it seemed — and I think people in both camps thought, well, the people on my team could eventually crush the people on the other team, and my team will get to rule.

I think we now have to face reality. That's just never going to happen. The other side is never going to go away. And we have got to find a way to live with each other.

And so, to me, that's the biggest takeaway of where we are right now."

We have to stop treating politics as a game. Reagan worked with Democrats to accomplish great things. So did Clinton.

It's only in the new millenium that obstruction became a strategy, and that the parties became this polarized. We need to unite & move forward in a positive way, if we're to survive.

There is no compromise. I will not condone destroying the Constitution.
 
I am not proposing that we ignore hatred nor troubling moves toward fascism.

Trump just lost power, so that is going to move us away from fascism. Good thing.

As for the hatred we must lead by example.

Be the good winners we wished they were when they elected Trump.

One thing is for sure, and MLK knew this. We cannot hope to fight hatred with more hatred.

Should Germany allow nazis to have public demonstrations and wave nazi flags?

We have a dangerous right wing militia movement which needs to be dealt with. Playing nice got Trump elected in the first place.
