Time To Recognize Who We Are; Reunite America

I wish you'd have a heart attack and your family would perish in a car wreck.

Of course you do.

Here's the thing. The troglodyte right doesn't want their own Red State America as they did in the 1860s.
They realize that they could never exist without Blue State tax money supporting them.
I wish they would muster the courage to try, though.

all of you retards have major comprehension and reading problems, don't you? LOL no wonder we're dead as a nation. not a single one of you has the ability to be an adult or free

Major comprehension and reading problems may account for your ignorance of the proper use of the upper case.

Declarative sentences and interrogatories must begin with the upper case.

Perhaps you did not read or comprehend sixth grade English grammar.

Hello Margot Michaels,

Republicans only care about rich white, straight people,by the light of day. After dark they are on the down low

That's not true.

Part of recognizing who we are means not fooling ourselves about who voted. Many of the votes for Trump came from non college educated white males. These are working people. Firefighters, police, military, construction workers, blue collar. People making America function. These are not people who are really trying to favor the rich. That is simply something they have accepted.

The election is over.
Nope.

Our nation has been torn apart by very different ideas.
More specifically, our country has been torn apart by Lying, cheating, America-hating Leftists who will stop at nothing to install a tyrannical government.

Not only do Americans disagree on what our government should do, we don't even agree on basic facts.
It has been that way since the foundation of this country. What is different this time is that Donald Trump won this election by record-setting popular vote and the DNC had to committ massive fraud and fabricate many millions of bogus ballots for Biden in order to throw the election.

The difference is the FRAUD, not any disagreements that have always existed.

It is to be expected that people are going to have bad views of this idea of a truce. A truce is always such a challenge when people are fighting. Many want revenge.

Individuals will typically become fixated on something the other side did, and want to 'get even' for that.

Lots of animosity abounds.

But this is purely emotional. There is no logic in seeking revenge. Hurting the other side, or insulting them, does nothing positive for the perpetrator of the revenge. Nothing beneficial is accomplished. And worse, since a new attack has been launched at the other side, then they will want to respond.

Revenge-seeking locks us into a never ending loop of further revenge by both sides, which really only serves to escalate tensions.

That's why Revenge Makes No Sense.

Nobody would choose to live in a nation where two sides hate each other's guts and experience constant tension and ugliness. That's not anybody's idea of a great nation, a good way to live.

But here we find ourselves locked into this loop where each side blames the other side for the tension.

What is needed is for both sides to take a step back and realize they are equally at fault in perpetuating the bitterness.

Each side needs to recognize:

1. The other side is not going away.
2. The other side is not giving in or backing down.
3. We will all have a better nation if we stop fighting.
4. It can be OK to agree to disagree. It needs to be done with respect for others. That's the goal.
5. Some individuals on both sides will never agree to ratchet down the animosity.
6. It falls upon each and every one of us to embrace the needed truce.
7. Everyone won't do it.
8. Each of us can make the situation better or worse, depending on how we approach this.
9. It is more important to listen to the other side than it is to speak your own view.
10. Any change in this area is going to be gradual, so we must make personal change permanent in order to hang in there while others act immaturely going forward.
11. It is very important to plan to be triggered, but not respond to it. It's going to happen. Decide ahead of time what the best way to handle it is.
12. Know that there is very little recognition for acting wisely. But that is no reason not to. Personal benefit comes from within. It comes in the form of your own peace of mind.
13. You can't know what the full benefit of ratcheting down the rhetoric is until you do it for at least 3 weeks. It takes that long for your own habits to change and for the peace of mind to displace the feelings of animosity.
14. Enjoy the new more peaceful you! Enjoy the new America where you can champion your own views and listen to others so that together we can work out policy. Relish in what you've helped to create, a better, greater America.

Hello Saudade,

I would be surprised if it amounts to much. So far every case has either been swatted away as superfluous or has not been anything that would change the results.

The bottom line is if the president has any evidence to back up his claims, he needs to present it. So far there has been nothing but unsupported false claims.

He IS presenting it, dumbass.

Hello Darth,

My voice joins those which have constantly been overlooked, saying enough of the animosity, noting that the bitter polarization is hurting the country.

This much is plain:

It is not a logical argument to say that since we have been bitter and polarized, with many foolish minds dehumanizing the opposite side, that it means we should continue to hamstring meaningful progress with more bitter polarization.

I would ask how hatespeak is supposed to solve our problems?

It won't.

We must take this election as an inflection point and round the corner towards being a more functional and self-respectful nation.

We have had a president who found it advantageous to stoke the fires of hatred and division. Now, we are nearing the end of that presidency and we will be transitioning into a completely different motivation for leadership. We will truly have a president who intends to serve the entire nation, not just his own supporters.

ps: If you are quoting someone else, please use quotation marks in your post. The reader of your post has no other immediate way to know that it is not you who said the body of your post unless you use quotation marks. When I first read your post I thought it was your words. Then, later, when I clicked on the link THAT was when I learned that no, it wasn't anything you has said at all, that it was someone else. Please use quote marks next time? Thanks.

The Democrats have been bitter and polarized. They have tried everything they can to nullify the 2016 election. Now they are trying to steal the 2020 election.

No compromises.

A patriotic American will want to do what is best for America, not just for him or her self.

We all need to understand neither side is going to get their way.

We have to embrace that we are a divided America.

Hey, maybe we have to share our country with people we strongly disagree with, but at least the nation we are sharing is pretty awesome!

We are not a divided nation.
