Conservatives claim that we are inferior to South Koreans, New Zealanders, Taiwanese, and we simply cannot be expected to put the kibosh on a pandemic breakout like they did.
South Koreans are not better than us. They just do not have a massive rightwing media and a Republican president spreading misinformation and lies.

I look at it like this: I can be defiant in the face of common-sense pandemic mitigation measures because of some bizarre misplaced concept of freedom, and possibly die and/or cause others to die. Or I can follow the guidelines and live to enjoy true freedom -- life -- another day.

It is well known that the mass of those refusing the vaccine are rightys. Just read the responses on this board. The fact that some leftys are refusing the vaccine does not change the fact that it is the right that will keep us from reaching herd.
Blacks show reluctance because of a distrust in medicine and how blacks have been used by the medical profession over history. You righty snowflakes do not have that excuse.

Notice that Trump had no problem taking an experimental drug made from aborted fetuses when it served his purposes but some Americans refuse the Johnson & Johnson vaccine over rumors the same aborted fetal stem cell line as Trump used was used in the vaccine's making.
Fine. I'm totally against forcing people to take a medical procedure or inject things into their body. For the same reasons, I'm against making abortion illegal and all drugs laws. Americans should be free to choose what they do with their own bodies.
OTOH, business owners have rights too and should be able to reject maskless, unvaccinated customers. Government has a duty to protect the citizenry with common sense laws such as masks in public buildings and transportation.
Of course it's reporting, reporters are mostly liberal so they're gonna say it's more conservatives who are refusing. I pointed out a fact that you cannot dispute.
