If the UK cop didn't have a weapon the girl in pink would probably have been stabbed. Personally I'm sorry that he was force by circumstances to shoot her but she bears responsibility for her own death. It's ashamed to see a 16 y.o. die over an argument about house work.

As I have stated, wrap your arm around her arm like a hook. She'd probably stab herself in the face. ;)

Do you think he had time? The scene was chaotic...there was another attack going on at the time.....on the girl she shoved to the ground....

Yes. It only takes under 1/2 of a second to cover 8 feet.

But you have a good point on it being chaotic due to a man kicking a woman in the head while she's on the ground. So there were two separate things going on at the same time.

I never thought of that one.

It's hard to ignore that, when you think of arriving at the scene knowing someone was armed....
It was a complicated situation....

Basically it's between a rock and a hard place scenario.
 
I think a better discussion would be: Why are 15 year-olds swinging knives at each other in the streets, and 13 year-olds are shooting guns at passing cars at 2:30 in the morning?

Such a discussion would be more productive than complaining about how the police clean up the messes other people create.

Considering he had 9 seconds on the scene to work with its either yell freeze or save the intended victim.

The issue is not woth the cop, the issue is why was there some whacked out cunt trying to kill someone ? This is against the law. If you get shot in the act you had it coming.

So, in the case at hand, does the officer let the attacker with a knife stab her victim, potentially killing her, or does he save the victim's life by shooting the attacker who is in the middle of trying to kill her, a capital crime known as murder?
Quibble all you want, but there's no knowing that a taser will stop this event. Many people when tased, particularly ones on some drugs or experiencing an adrenalin rush are able to shrug off the effects and continue to fight.

So, in this case, the right thing to do is shoot the murderer before she can complete the act of her crime to save the life of her victim.
