What Are The Ways The Cop Could Have Prevented The Stabbing?

With Judo training, you'll be more brave. ;)

Judo is ALL ABOUT leverage. You can even throw that BBQ Rib Lady with ease.

Archimedes was brilliant.

So, in the case at hand, does the officer let the attacker with a knife stab her victim, potentially killing her, or does he save the victim's life by shooting the attacker who is in the middle of trying to kill her, a capital crime known as murder?
Quibble all you want, but there's no knowing that a taser will stop this event. Many people when tased, particularly ones on some drugs or experiencing an adrenalin rush are able to shrug off the effects and continue to fight.

So, in this case, the right thing to do is shoot the murderer before she can complete the act of her crime to save the life of her victim.

First of all you are making a lot of assumptions. And you are using terms that are not appropriate.

MURDERER- A MURDERER IS SOMEONE WHO MURDERED SOMEONE- LIKE THE POLICEMAN!

YOU calling the girl with the knife a murderer is inappropriate. You do not know the motives of the girl that was shot- We do not even know if the girl would have even stabbed the other woman or not prior to her being shot and KILLED- or what part of the body that she would have stabbed if she did- or if it would have been a deadly stabbing. SO NO ONE SAVED ANYONE'S LIFE! THERE IS NO PROVE THAT BY SHOOTING THIS WOMAN, IT SAVED THE OTHER WOMAN'S LIFE.

This officer jumped into the scene that was developing rather quickly, and in his defense, perhaps he thought he was saving a life by taking one, but he should have not had his weapon drawn, and pursued getting close enough to disarm the girl with the knife- even if she stabbed the woman before he got close enough to disarm her.

This officer pulled his gun and fired 4 rounds into her heart at close range!

Instead of pulling his firearm (WHICH IS NOT THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD AS HE WAS TAUGHT), he should have grabbed his NIGHT STICK AND KNOCKED THE KNIFE RIGHT OUT OF HER HAND AND SUBDUED HER OUT OF HARMS WAY!

THAT IS PROPER POLICE PROCEDURE!

Just like on TV, eh?

I am not a Judo master but I will give you a first and a very simple Judo lesson on leverage. (Been trained in Judo and Tae Kwon Do for a bit.)

First, I will be asking you a question.

Scenario: Some yuge guy tries to grab you by his right arm, trying to grab around your neck with his right arm and both of you are facing each other up close.

What is one possible way to neutralize him? There are few possible ways, but this is where you two are facing each other up close.

I forgot to add a hint: Judo is all about leverage.

I guess it goes back to that old adage "don't bring a knife to a gun fight."

To add more to this gif: it's a very old magician trick.

1. Leverage.
2. Bait.
3. Misdirection
4. Weak spot.
5. Appearance.
6. Blind spot.

I will attempt to remember more but I think those are enough.

I am certain you'll recognize those tricks I listed in this (probably staged) gif.

Street fighting isn't a "trick" moron.

Not being facetious, I would love to see video if you have any showing a cop arriving at a scene while someone is attempting to stab someone and them being able to take the knife.

We’ve all the seen the video. There was no time to be diplomatic and try some resolution dispute tactics. Person A was swinging the knife at Person B when the officer arrived. I’d love to see examples as stated above.

Get in touch with the Metropolitan Police.
