What Are The Ways The Cop Could Have Prevented The Stabbing?

I think a better discussion would be: Why are 15 year-olds swinging knives at each other in the streets, and 13 year-olds are shooting guns at passing cars at 2:30 in the morning?

Such a discussion would be more productive than complaining about how the police clean up the messes other people create.

That discussion can definitely be had, and it would be a good one. But the reality is kids fighting is not new, nor are fights involving knives, nor will it ever go away. So discussing how cops should handle such scenarios is definitely appropriate. I think the officer saved the life of the girl in pink. But it's not wrong to look at how we train officers to respond in cases like this.

Everyone doesn't want the cop to allow the lady in pink to get stabbed. That is already given. The claim is just a racist and/or political bullshit.

Now that is cleared up.

What do you think the cop could have done here without killing her?

>Shoot her without killing her. She'd crumble like a sad sack of potatoes
>Use taser (obviously)
>Use a Judo tactic to separate both of them

As to that last part, I figured by watching the other video showing a different angle that it was approximately 8-10 feet between the women and the cop.
Was that close enough to do a Judo tactic? A properly trained person would be close enough to do it.

If you think of any other the cop could have done, please feel free to add here.

Called in a social worker.......

So, I mean normal parents having to factor in things like taxes, education, higher education costs, etc., before having another child.

As opposed to your parents for example, who just squirted out another miscreant for a larger monthly check.

FWIW, I've noticed that "normal" people are still pretty fucking stupid.

The fact you have quickly devolved into personal insults means you have nothing intelligent to add to your own point. Sad.

These are less than normal people:

When I was 12, 13, 14, 15, I was delivering newspapers for spending money. I never knew anybody fighting with a knife or carrying a gun. Maybe it happened somewhere, but not around civilized people.

Most young kids don't go around fighting with weapons and God help us if it ever becomes the norm. But it does happen and I don't think it wrong to say we should train cops in a way that produces the best possible outcome.

They already have that training. In this case it was a matter of time to stop a stabbing. As I am sure you know there was no time to do anything but react quickly.

I definitely think the cop saved the life of the girl in pink. I guess I'm speaking from a broader perspective of having the discussion of how gov't, or in this case the police, can improve itself. I have no issue with those discussions taking place. As far as this incident I think the cop acted appropriately.

Not to mention that there were two separate incidents occurring at the same time, as TOP pointed out.

How so???

I believed I've already explained that 2 to 3 times.

Make a hook with your arm around her arm, weakening the weakest point on the arm. Would be so hilarious if she stabbed herself in her face if that happens. LOL.

But that's moot anyway since TOP made it clear that decision was complicated by the fact that there were two separate events going on at the same time.
