It does matter because all it takes for a bullet to hit the girl in pink was for it to ricochet off a rib, phone, or anything hard on her body.

She has a lethal weapon in her hand ready to use in the danger zone of 15 feet or less.. If he had a taser and it did not work as the often do then he has to drop the taser and draw his service weapon and aim and fire before she can close the distance [you say 8 feet].
