I hate to say it, but that's a valid analogy.
It is. But thanks to the Mexican General Santa Ana and the Alamo, it's now part of the US. In this case, Putin is*'General Santa Ana' ... and Ukraine is the 'Alamo'.

from blandishments to cocksucking trolling. SOS -different day from you

You're a fucking Russian propagandist.
Russia has no claim to Ukraine...Ukraine is a sovereign country.
If Ukraine is "historically" a part of Russia, then Texas is historically a part of Mexico.
more stupidity from the village idiot. I never said Russia has a "claim" to Ukraine
I mentioned the geopolitical ambitions of NATO coupled with refusal to use diplomacy by Biden
as a predicate to war
it's complicated. I thought how can I make a post that sums it up when you have so many factors as to why
it came to this.. I settled on this to try to give some perspective for those
only getting western propaganda ( ya we do it as well as Russia):
~~
You can be sure we had a hand in militarizing Kyiv government and turning it into a hostile actor against Russia, which is not to excuse Potin's war but Ukraine had become a defacto NATO state. Intolerable for Russia.
US ( Trump and Biden ) were glad to dismiss Russia's legit security needs; the usual Cold War 2.0 play...
It goes back to the Euromaidan and our part in overthrowing the pro-Russian government (Obama state dept) which started the war in Donbas..."it's complicated"
So who would Zelensky be?
sounds like you hate NATO and long for those good ole Warsaw Pact days, eh comrade?
oh and no paychecks this week, dad's broke

delusional. inability for self control of your sig..
well said and agreed. You're a fucking Russian propagandist.

Sounds like the perspective from Pravda and Kremlin state media. No Russian citizens I correspond with write like this, or blame NATO for forcing Putin to invade. There are undoubtedly people in Russia who believe the Kremlin propaganda about Nazis being in control of Ukraine. But I think a long occupation, body bags of young Russian men, and angry mamas and babushkas are going to diminish any enthusiasm for "denazification"
I doubt you know any "Russian citizens", sex pest, unless they're cam girls or e-thots.
Since you're so anxious to topple the tyrant, what time does your flight leave?
Better not tell the Ukrainian neo-Nazis about that avatar.
Oh, wait, aren't you still on some sort of list because of those orders of protection?
Is that why you haven]t rushed to join the Azov Brigade already?
LMAO -read a map before opening your trapYes it is.
you are more laughableZelensky was elected in a landslide by his people because he was pro-West.
you could always drink rat poison...my suggestionRussia could always ask to join NATO...why won't they?
hush up lizard brainShut up you RUSSIAN BOT!
Ain't nobody got no time for that!
It's too late , but do you think Ukraine and the U.S.'s policy would have been a little different had they realized Putin was a serious threat?Do you have any idea how stupid you are for posting this? You don't, do you?
here we go again..^^ Sounds like the perspective from Pravda and Kremlin state media.

how many Russians do you know NOT part of the opposition> anecdotals are fine but...
I distinctly did not "blame NATO" i said it was "Putins war"
if you bothered with some historical research instead of the constant democratic (small d) preening
you would find out what I wrote (OP) is a quick outline of events.
NATO expansion and uber-militarization are the fruits of the Euromaidan.
Toss in the Crimean annexation as well.
if I had to lay the background blame at one culprit it was refusing to use any diplomacy with Putin
and his legit "red lines". as I often called it "Putting Putin in a box"
"War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy" is the relevant mantra
