I wouldn't call running a con game on a bunch of foreigners by sending an airplane to another state, lying to them about where they're going, them dumping them off somewhere else, and all done illegally and at the taxpayers' expense, an example of a "responsible leader".

I'd call it a low rent publicity stunt and the cynical gamesmanship of jackass with a questionable at best level of integrity.

He's really just a slightly more presentable version Of Trump.

The Republican Party and the political right in general have lurched so far towards rabid extremism, sane, rational, decent conservatives with integrity and a strong sense of ethics like the kind that controlled the GOP in the 70's and 80's, don't even exist anymore.

Not to a degree that would register on any scale.
