Many of these Russians ended up in neighboring countries, setting up new lives and businesses, and ended up boosting the economies of these nations, the independent Russian media outlet Novaya Gazeta reported on Friday.

The GDP of the South Caucasus — a region comprising Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia — grew by an outsized 7% in 2022, according to the World Bank. This far outpaced the 5.6% growth that World Bank economists had predicted.

Armenia — once known as the Silicon Valley of the Soviet Union — saw its 2022 growth spike to 12.6%, per the World Bank. The institution's economists had forecast a 7.0% growth for the country last year.

Scott Ritter was just talking about this....He who is back from a two week(?) book tour in Russia.....and pays close attention to what is going on in Russia.

"Good Riddance" is what the Russians say about those who left, and they will have a lot a trouble changing their minds and coming back after the Special Military Operation.

Listening to Malcolm Nance on Public Radio today. Although news reports paint a fairly bleak outlook for the Ukraine offensive, he says that the Russian army is reduced to incompetent, unwilling soldiers.

Which is why Putin resorts to long range weaponry used to murder women and children.

Russia hasn't even used their main force yet, they are in a defensive position.

Ukraine has been fighting screening forces and mercs this whole time.

All my male relatives of conscription age fled to Germany, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Israel. They have no intention of dying for Putin's imperialist agenda.

The claim that Putin wants to rebuild the Soviet Union is a straight up Western propaganda lie....as most of the world understands.

The ones who left were not willing to stand up for Russia which the West is working to destroy, Western leaders have said so.

They will not easily be forgiven.
 
On 1420 videos, they show that it is the young and talented that fled. They were embarrassed by Putin starting a cruel and needless war. The old people, who were around during the Soviet Empire are behind Putin. Many young people say they are just waiting for the right time to leave. They want no part of being drafted into a war of Putin's choice.

Agree. A tight race between them, and the very happy oligarchs for who was more pissed off about Putin's war crimes.

They don't want to stand up for Russia because they know it is a murderous state responsible for many deaths of Russian and Ukranian soldiers and Ukranian civilians. Russia is bringing about its own destruction in a stupid war.
