Actually, TOP, many religious conservatives are indeed pushing theocratic principles for inclusion into the laws of our land.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade was largely driven by SCOTUS religious beliefs, as from a purely legal perspective,
precedence was completely ignored in the majority opinion.
If the theocratic influence is tinted with beliefs that one shares, the theocracy involved isn't so instantly recognized.
That's my perspective on it,
and for somebody who's never had a uterus
and whose wife and daughter are both past child bearing age,
I've actually put a lot of thought into this.
