churches don't have warehouses......all of us are on the HR staff and we only have a reception area......
 
We're kind of growing out of the idea of just having "faith," also. That's something for more primitive, superstitious populations.

The concept of "just having faith" has never made much sense to me. It's kind of illogical that a timeless, omniscient being (who supposedly made man in his image) would expect that.

They believe the world is only 6000 years old and that fossils were planted by Satan to fool mankind into thinking the world is older. They are not just non-science, but also anti-science.

FWIW, I believe there is a fundamental intelligence behind the creation of the Universe. The facts are laid out for mankind to understand through the laws of nature, the physics of the Universe. Additionally, if the Universe was created by such a power, then studying the Universe is divine work. :)

All JPP Trumpers only talk the talk and don't walk the walk. Most either wear Christianity as a mask to hide their evil nature or don't talk religion at all...except to condemn Jews and Muslims. They really like doing attacking them.

Disagreed. Lots of people are "spiritual" AKA "having faith". What is changing is modern societies are not adhering to the dogma of ancient religions. One example is eating pork.

Without modern antibiotics, pork is very likely to carry the trichinosis parasite and result in a debilitating disease that, in the ancient world, could mean death. While Jews and Muslims traditionally adhere to the ancient dogma, Christians blow it off. This is why some will condemn homosexuals based upon the Old Testament while munching down a pulled-pork sandwich or shrimp Po'boy. They pick and choose which parts fo the Bible they adhere. Such hypocrisy is not appealing to most intelligent, educated and sane people so they move away from the dogma while continuing to have spiritual "faith" that there is more to the universe than what is directly in front of their noses.

Religions are corporations trying to increase money and power. They have become political. When Trump spoke at Liberty School and he showed no knowledge of the bible, he should have been laughed off the podium. But the leaders of the religion want the connections with the power structure, so they back a profane , woman-abusing, lawbreaker. Kids see the discord between what they say and do. They see what religions really are. Religions are clearly about money and power.

One can be spiritual without being stupid about it. One can have faith in a god without being stupid about it.

Only an ignoramus would claim the Bible is accurate history. That, and rainbow bridges.

Religion can only be held off.

At every instance it is seeking to accrue enough power and take over and subert enough systems and protections to make OTHERS live to the edicts of their religion. In that way the Taliban and Fundamentalist Christians are identical. The only major difference is the Taliban has been able to grab more power whereas in the US the fundamentalist have been kept mostly away.

But they have never stopped trying to gain enough power to force OTHERS to live to their edicts and way. That scheming has allowed them to capture the supreme court and slowly start to subvert the law so that religion can again be forced on others. Over time they will either achieve more or face a massive populist uprising that will AGAIN subvert religion back to its place in the church and in peoples personal homes but where they will not be able to force it on others.

He has, I am a cancer survivor twice and had a heartattack in January. I also survived COVID with no vaccines that don't work
