What's in Gaza is a suicide cult fed and supported by, first, the Arab nations after they couldn't beat Israel in conventional warfare...and since Israel got nukes....and, later, by Iran through Hamas and Hezzbollah.
A slight disagreement since progress, no matter how slow, is happening. Israel is at peace with many of the adjacent Arab nations and, soon, Saudi Arabia. War is not as profitable as it used to be as Putin is finding out.
IMHO, this latest Hamas offensive is equivalent to the German's last gasp at the Battle of the Ardennes and North Vietnam on Tet. Crushing Hamas, and to some extent, Hezbollah, would go a long way to creating a lasting peace in the area.
This will last until there is one man standing.

This seems to be not unlike what the white man did to the Native Americans. Took away their land and forced them onto god-forsaken land. Today’s version, however, has the “natives” possessing missiles.

Since nothing was taken. It was both given up and lost in war. However, like Ms. BP, you're free to hate the Jews, support the poor, poor Palestinian terrorists and applaud when they start cutting the throats of American women and children they've taken hostage.
I, OTOH, support destroying them without mercy. It's been over 70 fucking years and they refuse to stop being terrorists. Fuck them dead.
A friend of mine used to do business in the ME and traveled there frequently. This was probably 20-30 years ago. He would tell us about the appalling conditions the Palestinians lived in. How the Israelis treated them like shit. Prior to that, I just kinda believed the American line. Muslims = terrorists. Israelis = victims. Since then, I’ve paid a little more attention and looked at a little more background on the issue.
Israel is no fucking victim here. You may not like my analogy, but it’s not too far off. And I’m not here to defend terrorism. But you treat a population, a large and armed population, like that for so long, don’t be surprised when things explode like this.
As I said, this shit has been going on for thousands of years in that area. I don’t see an end until the slaughter is so bad, that the international community steps in to do something about it.

Disagreed. I've been to the area a few times myself, both Israel and Egypt back in the 80s and Israel a couple years ago. We went to Bethlehem which is on the Palestinian side a couple years ago. It was decent by Middle Eastern standards. The food was better than in Israel. We stayed away from Gaza precisely because it's a den of suicidal nutjobs.
A slight disagreement since all human history is written in blood so "going on for thousands of years" is par for our species. I'm fine with "the international community" stepping in. Who do you think the "international community" will stand with: the throat cutters and rapists or the innocent civilians being slaughtered wholesale?

The Israelis let Muslims serve in the Knesset . If the Palestinians weren't such assholes and built up and built industry rather than rockets to kill with and tried to not make war I suspect Israel would leave them alone

It's the Dome of the Rock, "doc". The Temple Mount aka the Second Temple which, in turn, was built on the First Temple. Christian mythology is that the Second Coming won't happen until the Temple is rebuilt...which means the Dome of the Rock needs to be removed.
The Wailing Wall is on the West side of the structure.

Agreed. The IDF has warned people that they are coming and to get out of the way. Those concerned about the Hamas supporters should send barges to the beaches to evacuate people while Israel steamrolls through the 25 mile strip.

I think they will. Israel has given fair warning for all Palestinian civilians to leave the area. My guess is Step #2 is to start a building-by-building search and destroy followed bulldozers to scrape the entire area clean.
