With tariffs as high as Trump is saying he is going to put on exporters / manufactures they will pass most of them on to the retailer who will pass them on to the consumer and as I have said before I would not put it past any of them to add an extra 1 or 2 % to the cost blame the tariffs and pad their bottom line.
With the few tariffs Trump has already put in place we can see prices of things already going up.
Back in Apr he put a 10% tariff on Columbia and a month or so ago coffee was 14.99 and now is 16.99 a 13 % increase , and he has raised the tariff on Columbia to 25 % so expect it to go up more.
Autos are up any where from a thousand or so to over 7000 dollars.
Slowing sales and the American auto makers are starting to lay people off.
And with 8 people being employed in supporting industries for ever 1 auto worker that will have a ripple effect down the line.
And not ALL of Trumps tariffs are in place yet, IF he ever stops all his flip flopping and does put them on you will see the cost of just about everything going up and up.
Heck his tariff on copper and rare earth metals is going to drive up the cost of just about everything mechanical.
No Trump's tariff will be passed on to the consumer as we have already seen being done.
