Once again, it's NOT about "being straight" but is rather about the specific actions that one chooses to take with regard to one's desires, no matter what those desires may be.

Personally, I have always very easily decided against having sex with other men. The desire has simply never been there (in fact, such action deeply repulses me; I find it to be disgusting), so there's no temptation present nor is there an easy attack vector for Satan or my own sinful nature to take advantage of.

With regard to women, however, I've had a much more difficult time with properly responding to my own desires and to the temptations that I have faced. While successfully avoiding certain temptations, I have still succumbed to numerous other temptations (even to the point of developing habitual sin) and I have repeatedly deviated from God's will, choosing to follow my own will instead (while Satan kept whispering lies and "half-truths" into my ear about how 'doing this or that will bring you pleasure', 'doing this or that just this one time won't be that bad', 'you've already failed (yet again!) at self control, so you might as well just give into your desires a few more times', and etc etc).

While I wish that I would have been a quicker learner, I've still ultimately learned that I can't successfully ward off such intense temptation on my own accord. Instead, I need the Holy Spirit's indwelling, and to rely upon the power of the Holy Spirit in order to successfully navigate such temptation rather than relying upon my own willpower.

With divine assistance, it IS possible to thwart sexually immoral temptations, including the temptation to have sex with other men. With divine assistance, it IS possible to overcome (and to be rewarded for it!) and it IS possible to enjoy eternal life with God.
