To extend it would not be a clean CR - it would require a change to previously agreed to budgets - hence not clean.

Those are the facts that matter. And it appears that the Republicans are unable to govern even with that advantage.

I am not sure how long this lasts. I believe the democrats have a plan - and Democrats secretly are hoping the GOP ends the filibuster so they can do what they always wanted - elect a king in the future.

Last year, 22 million Americans got subsidies on Affordable Care Act health insurance. It is already paid for. It is part of the "Biden-era" spending levels.

The idea that Democrats would vote to take away health coverage from 22 million Americans, and only get a month more of government for that... and then have to give up more for each month thereafter... is crazy.

So go back to sobbing that the Democrats were supposed to cave and give Republicans everything they wanted. It just is not going to happen.
