CIA chief: Waterboarding aided bin Laden raid

So Dumb Yankee not only doesn't know the difference between "except" and "accept", he doesn't know that waterboarding is torture, and would have to be forced to undergo it - no doubt that's because it's not torture.

And does a plain language dictionary say that waterboarding isn't torture?

What a fool. They don't use Webster's when assessing an issue as complex as torture, anyway. What a waste of time.

"Don't use the dictionary to define terms." Is this your position? :)

Maybe it would have been better to have said use the US CODE

As used in this chapter -
(1) "torture" means an act committed by a person acting under
the color of law specifically intended to inflict severe physical

incidental to lawful sanctions) upon another person within his
custody or physical control;
(2) "severe mental pain or suffering" means the prolonged
mental harm caused by or resulting from -
(A) the intentional infliction or threatened infliction of
severe physical pain or suffering;
(B) the administration or application, or threatened
administration or application, of mind-altering substances or
other procedures calculated to disrupt profoundly the senses or
the personality;

(C) the threat of imminent death; or
(D) the threat that another person will imminently be
subjected to death, severe physical pain or suffering, or the
administration or application of mind-altering substances or
other procedures calculated to disrupt profoundly the senses or
personality; and

(3) "United States" means the several States of the United
States, the District of Columbia, and the commonwealths,

Dumb Yankee can't "except" his exposure as an idiot.

says the moron who deletes over half his posts because you realizes later how idiotic they are

:lol:

Cute response, Troll. I'd like to see you venture out of your mother's basement long enough to try, Dumb Yankee.

epic made this post at 11:45....i go to copy it with a quote an HOUR later and he had just deleted it

:lol:

i think the irony of this post is awesome!

Yeah - that's exactly what I said.

Looks like you're in a little over your head. You really shouldn't wade in so far...

I sense sarcasm here, followed by your frustration at being exposed.

I'm trying to understand your position. We are discussing the definition of a word and you stated: "don't use Webster's when assessing an issue...". How else shall I asses your position if not as I stated?

So you agree that we should decide interrogation standards using a dictionary?

Good to have you on record.

did i say that?

good to know all you have is another canned response.

the definition of torture by the federal government (military) is laid out in treaties and US code....not the dictionary. you should really move beyond your canned responses. we have much better dialogue when you do.

Just going by your standards, Yurtsie. Literally dozens of times, you have said I agreed w/ something because I skipped over it and didn't comment on it, because it was from a "leftie."

Too bad it came back to burn you this time. An unsurprising double-standard.
