Where are the laws to allow gays to make medical decisions for their partner if that partner is unable to do so? Where are the laws allowing gays to name their partner as "next of kin"? Where are the laws to allow gays to adopt and have both partners listed as parents, so the child will not become an orphan if one parent dies?

And we will refine it again. But you are making the claim that the fact that it is an old tradition or has been that way for X number of years is reason enough not to change it. That makes it the logical fallacy I stated. No strawman at all.

Now your claim that allowing gays to marry would somehow harm the institution of marriage is simply bullshit, and not a logical fallacy at all.

The topic was an interesting one - whether or not an internet service provider should allow Horsley to post the names of abortion doctors on his website. Horsley does that as a way of targeting them and one doctor has been killed. In the course of the interview, however, Colmes asked Horsley about his background, including a statement that he had admitted to engaging in homosexual and bestiality sex. Updated with audio!

At first, Horsley laughed and said, "Just because it's printed in the media, people jump to believe it."

And if it is a fundamental change, so be it. Unless you can show how the institution of marriage will be harmed, the logical fallacy I quoted fits.
 
Laws that forbid gays from marriage also keep them from the benefits afforded a 'family'. Im done answering stupid questions.
