He was not lying when you look at who he was talking to and understand what they are talking about when they say these things. This part of my post:
So forcing others to follow your religen is required to practice your religen?

No one is TEACHING your kids religion.....they are just allowing them to practice their religion, just like the Constitution demands.....
and don't piss on my leg and tell me its rainin'.....some (and I stress SOME)schools have prohibiting these and other holiday customs for decades...Christmas, Valentines Day, Halloween, Easter, etc.....even so far as not allowing some kids to wear shirts with patriot pictures on them, like flags or patriotic sayings because it MIGHT....get that, MIGHT offend someone.....they have to give us their rights so as not to 'offend' someone ?....F**k 'em..
You'd have to live under a freakin' rock to not have seen or read about this stuff....
I guess you don't mind the kids being subjected to liberal propaganda in school,..... homosexuality, redistribute wealth, anti-capital punishment, global warming, and a zillion other left wing bullshit.....
Just curious Rana....I see you gave me a groan in Post 27....why don't you groan onecell when he does EXACTLY to the same shit to me...for EXACTLY the same reason?
got a little double standard goin' ?......you're a bigot in drag ?....or you're just a partisan ass ?
So forcing others to follow your religen is required to practice your religen?
They may practice their religion, at home or at church. It is where it should be practiced and taught, but public school is not the place. Other religions use to sit back and tolerate it because they thought they had no choice. Then a very brave women sued and the overtly Christian practices were removed from public schools. It is all about being fair.
Jarod , either you're being deliberately obtuse or you're missing what I have been trying to say. Not going to try for much on this phone but will say this: You first claim they're lying...I show you why they don't think they are. Now you've gone from that to "forcing others to follow..." Believe me, they don't see a public prayer or Christmas play as "forcing" someone to do anything. For some of my further thoughts on this see my response to Rana earlier in this thread.

Wait a damn minute, where do you get that, in public school, your Constitutional right to exercise religion is void? Nothing in the 1st Amendment restricts where you can exercise religious beliefs, so why do you libtards believe it should be restricted on government property... hell, that should be the one place it is protected the most emphatically!!!
Perhaps you could show everyone where exactly Rana made such a claim about the 1st amendment being void?
Children can pray anytime anywhere they like while at school, don't know where you get the idea otherwise?

Where I come from Prayer is a personal thing. I do not belvie in making a show out of it, Tim Tebow style or in a school setting. Prayer is so easily done without disrupting others, by design.
It seems to me when people maks a show out of it, they are often doing it for personal gain or with an adgenda other than communicating with God.
So I should have my kid in class and every 35 minutes he gets down and prays to the fluffy mattress in the sky. The school should support that too because it's his religion. And the muslims who need to pray toward Mecca and bring prayer matts along? And the Wiccans?(I don't have a clue what they do) Just keep things simple, pray silently when you take a test, and loudly at home.
Liberals don't have a problem with the kids praying to their god in school, the problem is when the Jordanian kid whose parents just immigrated and speaks maybe 50 words of english has to be a part of a christmas party. Have your parties at home, leave politics out of the classroom(if you can) and leave religion out of the classroom. Do the unlikely thing, have CLASS in the classroom and then go home and live your life.
When was the last time a public school held a Christmas program? (Let alone one they forced some Jordanian kid to participate in.)
