Yes, there are officials who are invited and attend events at the WH on a regular basis. I've worked in D.C. and known such government officials. They are very proud of there access, even though they rarely see or meet with the President. They go to every event they can get an invitation to. Someone as high up as that guy is likely invited to every event and if is so inclined, could easily attend 118 of them. You are speaking out of you ass because you are ignorant of what constitutes, going to the White House for a high ranking official.

I was not even involved in the government and my name appears on the log 4 times for the three years I lived in D.C.. I only met President Clinton once and it was not at the White House. I never once met with any government officials at the White House about anything official.

How is your neighbor harming you other than illiciting your petty jealousy over what they have that you do not? For all you know they have part time jobs? Ever think of that? Not at all. One man doesn't need to "control" all of it. He just needs to surround himself with bright and capable people, point them in the right direction, and periodically monitor and evaluate their progress.

Responsible? Of course he is. Criminally liable? Obviously not. We have different opinions as to the performance of Obama. Your side seems to believe he is the worst president ever and has grossly misused his constitutional powers. My side disagrees. Your side has control of the House of Representatives. I don't have a side. You mistakenly think I support the GOP. I do not. My side is the US Constitution. Is Obama the "worst ever"? That is subjective obviously. Has he grossly misused his Constitutional powers? Most definitely. Were a Republican doing half of what Obama has done you would be on fire.

I am not asking for impeachment and the GOP doesn't have the stomach for it. They will confine themselves to pummeling him daily the way the dems did Bush. Remember the "war crime" accusations hurled at Bush? Why no impeachment by the dems? Same reason. Politics.
 
Well... I DO have a side. I have concluded that governance in America is accomplished through politics, and politics in America is a team sport. I chose my team long ago based upon their philosophy and their platform. Until they change those things to thepoint where I don't believe in them anymore, I will be a democrat. Earlier in my career, after retiring from the Navy, I worked for democratic politicians at the state level. I made phone calls and rang doorbells. I wrote floor speeches and editorials. I drove voters to the polls and helped them cast their absentee ballots. Now that I am retired fully, and living out of the country, all I can do is contribute to their campaigns, pay my taxes, and chat about politics on message boards.
