We have a Second Amendment and should have no security problems in our free States.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The defense and protection of the state and of the United States is an obligation of all persons within the state. The legislature shall provide for the discharge of this obligation and for the maintenance and regulation of an organized militia.

I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials."— George Mason, in Debates in Virginia Convention on
Ratification of the Constitution, Elliot, Vol. 3, June 16, 1788

Don't grab guns, grab gun lovers and Regulate them Well!

Only well regulated militia of the United States have literal recourse to our Second Amendment when keeping and bearing Arms for their State or the Union.

It is the absolute height of stupidity to believe that the founding fathers would guarantee ONLY the government a right to keep and bear arms, after having just won a war for independence from their government that tried to take their arms.

I believe our Second Amendment more than You.

Well regulated militia are expressly declared necessary not optional unlike the unorganized militia of the People.

every piece of historical documentation refers to the militia as able bodied private citizens. there are also numerous pieces of historical documentation that states clearly that the federal government has absolutely zero power or authority over the arms of the people.

you are confused. you're clearly talking about left wingers having no clue about economics, laws, or the Constitution.

Sure that is it. I suppose the fact that we had a citizen army back then mattered. The Brits attacked and destroyed our munition supplies. The logical reaction was to encourage people to keep weapons so we would be able to fight back. https://www.historyplace.com/unitedstates/revolution/revwar-75.htm This is what the 2nd is about. That was 230 years ago. We have had millions of Americans shot and killed for something that is wrong in our society today.

Sadly, you seem to have survived, but Ukraine needs fighters, I hear. Hop to it!

you are completely unwilling to accept what the 2nd is about..........i'm not surprised that you believe defending freedom is wrong in our society today. why do you fear freedom?

It still says the right of the people, and not the organized militias. But, keep on not trying...
Your ignorance is showing. Are you on the right wing? Well regulated militia is a "technical" term.
