5 myths about Old Europe

But the thing is you don't have the most important social freedom in Europe which is the right to bear arms.

It's important, but far from THE most important.

The most important to me would be a sensible marijuana policy, which Europe has and Alabama sorely lacks. Along with those pesky things like free speech, religion, and press.

Am I changing anything? No. I'm just commenting on it. That's what we do at this site. Stop being a stupid little prick and go back to your schools with cracks in the walls and teachers with a GED.

Actually I went to the number 1 highschool in the nation, but thanks for trying.

In 2005, 2006, and 2007 JCIB was ranked #1, #2, and #4 respectively in the annual Newsweek poll of "The 100 Best High Schools in America".[1] Newsweek's formula, devised by Senior Contributing Editor Jay Matthews, divides the number of Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate tests taken by the number of students, favoring schools such as JCIB which offer only college-level classes. In justifying his formula, Matthews said, "Kids are getting out of high school, having taken 10 or 11 college-level courses and tests. They're just about as ready for college as you can be".

My dog can whip your dog ....

sheesh, kids....

Water wanted to get into a pissing contest about schools and make some generalizations about my state as well as insult my personal education.

I just didn't feel like letting him go unchallenged on it when we're clearly a cut above the rest in many dimensions. Alabama's intelligent kids get plenty of opportunities regardless of incomes.

We have three admission-test public schools (ASFA, JCIB, and MMS), each of which consistently place on the top 50 public school list and receive tens of millions per year in scholarship money for classes of under 75 kids.
