You're not right. You just need to have the last word. Everyday I hear about incidents in school where a student is made to do something he doesn't want. The administrators set the policy, not the kids.
I helped one of my kids and his friends get the school to allow them to form a certain club. At first the school denied their request. So we went through channels that included school board meetings, and some of the board members were also against the club. The kids laid out their ideas in a respectful fashion, and answered questions from the board. When the vote came, the measure passed by a majority.
The kids didn't cry and moan and stamp their feet the first time they were denied. They didn't call the media and demand their rights. They learned how to use the system to get what they wanted. Marcum could have done the same. He got 100 of his friends to wear the shirt to school days later without incident. Instead his glory hound father blew up an internal incident and thrust it into the national spotlight. I have no sympathy for either of them.
And no, moron, he was not abused.
So you never hear of mental abuse or verbal abuse ?....You were there to decide there was no abuse ?
More strawman bullshit....this isn't about a forming a school club....this is about the immediate demand that a kid wear his clothes inside out and getting the
police involved......
if your kid was told to walk around barefoot, would you say he should comply until Mommy gets there to do her fact finding.....?
If a teacher demands your kid eat the lunch the school provides, should he or she eat it and then complain later to you so you can check it out ?
If the kids parents were called instead of the police, this might have been cleared up without any hassle....this teacher used her position of power to
push her political agenda against the NRA.....its that simple.
Its nonsense that a picture of gun is treated like its a picture of a slave hanging from a tree or a naked pair having explicit sex......some things are disruptive
and offensive.....some are just simply are not....and I think its the picture of the gun that is at the crux of this entire thing......
I repeat....Its as ridiculous as scolding a 6 year old for a gun shaped cookie, or a paper torn into something that remotely resembles a gun, or cookies baked like soldiers....
you people are the ones that have completely lost you minds...your reactionary in the extreme....you lack common sense and perspective, in politics, on issues, and
in dealing with reality in general. In closing, I'll say the school will prevail in this case, they are the reactionaries and make the rules at this particular
moment in time.....the silent majority is just too meek to cause a ruckus over a t-shirt, they always are....
And as O'Reilly says .....I'll give you the last word.
