A different Supreme Court.

you said they won a competition once
I made no mention of a competition. Go back and reread the thread and you can confirm that the first mention of a "competition" in this thread was in post #15 by you. See? If you can develop this habit of just rereading when you get confused, you can reduce the number of times you embarrass yourself this way. Good luck!

The Republicans have only won the popular vote in a presidential election once in the last three decades

Dear retard. your best best is to grab a dictionary - and start learning single letter words I, A, and so forth

then you can advance to 2 letter words

maybe one day, you can finally learn the meaning of three letter words - like won - the past tense of win

I understand you'd like to suggest that you read my mind and that's what led you to introduce the "competition" into this thread. But that doesn't change the fact you were the one who introduced it. Learn from your error and do better in the future. I know critical thinking can be hard for those who are working with lower IQ's, but I'm convince that if you just take the time to reread, even people like you can cut down on the number of times you humiliate yourself. I'll be pulling for you.

So, we could well have a 5-4 or even 6-3 Democratic edge in the high court today, doing things like striking down efforts by conservatives to make our elections even less democratic, by way of intensified gerrymandering and voter-ID hurdles. Instead, we have a court dominated by conservatives, setting the stage for a time when it will matter less and less what the people want.

Thank you, Donald Trump.....

when your reply completely ignores how I destroyed your narrative = you are a retard

If you take California out of your retarded popular vote equation, then Trump wins the rest of the country by 1.4 million votes. America told you idiots to fuck off - California does not get to override the will of the other 49 states

now go fuck yourself

California did not "override" my state of New Jersey. We were able to see the clod, Trump, for the loser he is...and voted for Biden overwhelmingly.

If you want to think the other 49 states voted for your moron, do it. We all enjoy a laugh.

By the way, California is a land mass...just as every other state is a land mass. Land masses do not vote. The people living in those land masses do...and every vote should matter.

and every vote should matter.

every vote does matter......they determine which candidate gets each state's electoral votes....electoral votes are calculated two per state plus one for every selected number of people in the state......its how the system works......for some reason, despite it being our system for 250 years, demmycrats still don't understand it.......

blablabla Forest.

you proved you can't even handle the meaning of the word win.

This is a McNamara fallacy. It still fails to address the issue substituting nothing but quantifiable data in place of addressing substance.

You presented us with a false claim when you said the majority of the US lives in "a handful of urban areas on the two coasts." A majority is more than 50%. I merely pointed out that the majority does not live in urban areas on the coast since the US has over 330 million people and only about 100 million live in large urban areas within 350 miles of the 2 coasts. (No one would consider Buffalo a coastal city but I did include Atlanta as coastal.) Your entire premise is based on a faulty premise since your initial claim is clearly false. It seems it is you that is attempting to use the McNamara fallacy while at the same time using bad data.

The US House representation is based on population so there would be no change with the House. 435 of the electoral college is based on representation in the House. Changing to a popular vote wouldn't suddenly make the coasts dominate over other land areas. It would only eliminate a quirk where the majority vote getter isn't the winner. With the current scheme if every state that touches the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean vote for one candidate the other candidate can not win even if they win every other state. So the coasts already do what you say you don't want them able to do.

As you now realize, the question was "competition" -- a word you introduced to the thread. Try harder and you'll make fewer such mistakes in the future. Good luck.

no child - you introduced it talking about winning things. you can't win if you don't compete little boy

LAND cannot be dominant. PEOPLE must be dominant in a democracy.

Why should people who live in lightly populated areas have so much power over people who live in high populated areas?

They do right now...that is the way our country works.

Although my fellow Dago Frankie pisses me off, he's an even older fuck than I am, so I have to allow for that.
He's absolutely right about this. Devolved crackers are wildly over-represented in our national government.
That's directly attributable to a poorly written constitution.
Why are so many people so reluctant to admit that?

Just take the L and try harder in the future. Perhaps there's some scrap of dignity you can still salvage.

sorry tardo - you lost in the first post when you foolishly pretended to win something that isn't a competition

dumbest man in any room he walks in right here.

poor poor Richard. dumb as can be.

Dumbest man in any room, he walks in right here.

Sentences should always start with a capital letter. A comma should be used when starting a sentence with a subordinate clause.
Since a person can't walk into a website, did you intend this to be a metaphor? "Right here" is awkward and redundant.

Poor poor Richard, dumb as can be.

You failed to capitalize first word in a sentence again. Not a complete sentence since there is no verb. Replace the period with a comma to tie the two phrases together. Is this failure to use grammar correctly while calling someone else "dumb" an attempt at irony or was it unintentional?

While your attempt to communicate was somewhat successful, you undermined your message by making so many grammatical mistakes.

In case all that went over your head, I did just call you "stupid."
