A divided nation asks: What's holding our country together?

Says the Trump ass eater who doesn't know the difference between "to" and "too" and "two".

I forget who first said this: "Grammar Nazis are the last refuge for fucking morons".

BTW, I miss the old Craigslist before it went PC:

Not much is holding us together at 60% White, just like not much held together 60% Polish Poland in the 1930s & 40s.

Balkanization has consequences.

That nonsense doesn't alter your needless repetition of an idea because you are ignorant of the meaning of words while I noticed it instantly
because I am more intelligent than you. Have a good day, inferior whore spawn.

Stone is flirting with you. I know from experience.

We've lost a shared sense of reality.

We truly are in a post-truth era. A few decades ago, most trusted the mainstream media. Now, they do not.

But most are abandoning mainstream media for fringe outlets that clearly don't care about the truth. They are abandoning the concept of factual information entirely.

I've always felt that the major networks are clearly biased - but still report on actual news. You can watch them knowing the bias, and still come out w/ a sense of what is really going on. That just isn't true w/ some of the new "alternative" outlets. They just make stuff up. There isn't even a basis in reality.

Elections are meant to resolve arguments. This one inflamed them.

Weeks after the votes have been counted and the winners declared, many Americans remain angry, defiant and despairing. Millions now harbor new grievances borne of President Donald Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud. Many Democrats are saddened by results that revealed the opposition to be far more powerful than they imagined.

And in both groups there are those grappling with larger, more disquieting realizations: The foundations of the American experiment have been shaken — by partisan rancor, disinformation, a president’s assault on democracy and a deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Oh it's far more sinister than that. Social media that tailors your views to what you will return to keeps you seeing confirmation bias articles that they think will keep you, the product engaged for it's customers, the advertisers. the net result of that is you only get news that further divides us, creates a narrative that is different for you than it is for someone from the other tribe, both getting this tailored experience that creates and maintains divide, the unintended consequence of this, more that they dont care about? is division.

Yeah, I barely even know what social media is. I get all my news from online newspapers and the AP and Reuters.

The republicans have hated our democracy for decades

They have cheated that democracy in elections for decades now

They scream about hating the government for decades

They have tried to claim we are not a democracy for decades

The Republican Party and Fox News need to die

They are the enemy of our democracy

I'm so glad you're a very tolerant & peaceful Leftist.

Which tailor your experience and headlines to keep you looking at the ads on the side. then you have a hostile media also keeping your viewing time by tailoring what you see first. your a commodity being sold to advertisers and they know that articles that confirm any of our biases will keep us there.
