You might think the first time in history opportunity is getting rid of Polio forever. WHO was on the verge of driving Polio to extinction before the pandemic, but now it could go either way. Maybe the WHO will wipe Polio out, or Polio might break out of is quarantine and ravish the world... especially the USA where vaccination rates have been dropping.

But Polio is a lessor opportunity. The big opportunity I am speaking of is worldwide virus monitoring. We can monitor the entire world for viruses, and see what viruses are moving through humanity. This will give us a fantastic picture on future pandemics, and early warning(often by decades) of coming pandemics. It is a huge opportunity. It will cost hundreds of billions of dollars to setup, and take a lot of time, but it is worth it.

There is only one organization that can do this, and that is the WHO. There is no way that trump gets the whole world to agree to a new organization. When trump leaves the WHO he is guaranteeing that this will not be done for decades to come. Putting Humpty Dumpty back together might not be possible, and will certainly take decades to happen.

The WHO, led by the woke left, in only one example of many, was caught red-handed spreading lies about COVID not being airborne while silencing the real scientists. They were in bed with China, pushing their narrative and ignoring the lab leak theory, proving they're either corrupt or incompetent. The United States has always been the biggest cash cow for this outfit, but it's high time we pull our support until they can prove they've weeded out their bias and corruption. Did it help with Chinese Disease? China initially hid the outbreak. Then they hid the cause. Then they lied about the cause. They were a member of the WHO and the WHO itself spread disinformation about what was happening and why.

It doesn't take an international bureaucracy to deal with some outbreak of some disease.

As I said, the WHO deals in more than China, for example, Ebola was curtained in Africa and treated via the cooperation of WHO members. And no it may not take the international community to deal with unknown pathogens, but it sure as hell helps knowing about them and able to address them before they reach the US

NY experienced it first, what was learned from NY served other States going forward, well, most, not some Red States caught up in politics, and no one fucked up Covid, was wrong so many times on Covid, lied to the American people on Covid, it was Trump

It was one woman that came into NYC about March first and by the end of the month there were over 79,000 cases in the city , and with all the lies, disinformation, distorted info that was out there , a lot from Trump himself, the Mayor and Governor of NY didn't know what to do so they shut things down to try and prevent the spread as much as they could.
They got ridiculed for it, but it seemed to be the right thing to do because states that didn't shut down , wear masks or told people to keep space between each other had more cases and deaths.

The reason that the established medical community asked people to wear masks is because Covid is airborne. At first they were unsure, but thought it was probably airborne, so suggested wearing masks. After a little while, they were sure, and even recommended masks more strongly.

The alt rights scapegoats are usually health related, and they are having major health problems. The best correlation for trump voters is worsening health outcomes. They are one of the few demographics to have falling life expectancies. Their falling life expectancies were so bad that it actually brought down America's average life expectancy before Covid.

They are sure someone is conspiring against their health, when their health is being destroyed by their own decisions. They attack anyone who tries to convince them to make better decisions. This is typical behavior for addicts doing destructive behavior. It makes treating them much more difficult.
