Funny, according to my mother we celebrated much the same way her family did in the early 1940's.

He was a threat to their power hold on the people so they got rid of him.

There's no comparison here between modern times American conservatives and your claim that Jesus was a political liberal in the same sense and modern time .. none.

Progressives love Halloween.


I don't remember a time where it was more popular among supposed adults than it is now.

Yeah there was always some kook who did, and seriously I have no problem with that, and I'm using the term "kook" as a term of admiration. But today they sell the crap at Walmart and it's gotten ridiculous.

Christmas and Halloween have both gotten more commercialized than when I was a kid.

Growing up in the 60's Christmas was just as commercialized. Oh, the stores seem to carry the crap earlier than ever. They used to wait until after Thanksgiving. It eventually moved forward up to Halloween.

But my point is that Halloween is becoming the new Christmas. Liberals' war on Christians has morphed into this new tactic. It makes perfect sense that Libs replace the celebration of a birth with that of death.

You suffer from Christian Persecution Complex.
 
Pilot was threatened by the prospect of another riot. He would likely have been recalled for it. From the beginning, he had offended Jewish leaders, and they would have viewed his defense of Jesus as another deliberate mockery of their faith and rioted.
