You've missed the point....Your children were your children from the very beginning....not only after they were born....You were blessed with healthy children and that's wonderful. What if one of your children did have Down Syndrome or a birth defect? Would that have changed everything?
No, but there were no risk of us having a down syndrome baby- OR WE WOULD HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO NOT HAVE CHILDREN!
My God, I was 26 and she was 23! That is not a risk for Down Syndrome. Had we been in our 50's-that would have been very different.
And that is the reason for a lot of Abortions. Mother's over 50! NOW YOU WANT TO TAKE AWAY THEIR CHOICE!
And you a woman!
Life is not always about what we want out of it. We cannot force our way of life based on our religious beliefs on others. And the lives of others may not always be on the same safety net with the same circumstances as ours.
I don't like that society euthanizes animals, but there are only so many spots in the animal shelters for dogs and cats, and society euthanizes millions of unwanted what would be great pets every year- but the supply overwhelms the demand for them and so they are euthanized.
Well, we don't abort the fetuses of pets, and we don't euthanize unwanted babies, but we do abort fetuses of humans for those same reasons- THE SUPPLY OF UNWANTED CHILDREN overwhelms the demand for adoptions and leaving hundreds of thousands of them in adoption agencies as we speak- THAT NO ONE WANTS. Some things in life are better off nipped in the bud.
AND YES TO YOUR POINT- UNFORTUNATELY THOUSANDS OF THEM ARE DOWN SYNDROME CHILDREN!
No Mam, I think you missed the point!
