AOC calls on the government to ban Tucker Carlson and other Fox hosts

Does yelling at the TV set count?

Democrats believe that "words are violence". I believe in the old "sticks and stones" meme. I understand that in prison culture, just "looking at someone" can be considered violence.

I have never rioted.

Does the TV yell back? If you have never rioted that probably tells us TV shows do not incite riots.

I am talking about the law (acts which can be prosecuted), not what Democrats or prison culture believes.

She didn't say anyone should be banned. She said incitement of violence should have consequences. That might include banning, but the better question is why you disagree.

Well, now that's a blatant lie;

{"I believe that when it comes to broadcast television, like Fox News, these are subject to federal law, federal regulation in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn't," Ocasio-Cortez replied. "When you look at what Tucker Carlson and some of these other folks on Fox do, it is very, very clearly incitement of violence — very clearly incitement of violence. And that is the line that we have to be willing to contend with."}

federal regulation in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn't

federal regulation in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn't

federal regulation in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn't

Nazi democrats once again shitting on the 1st Amendment...

The war on civil rights by the fascist left rages on.

Yeah, like all of the Fake News throughout 2020.

When will you drooling idiots stop saying this? Have you ever taken a political science course in your entire life? Fascism has NEVER been considered left. It is solidly and has always been considered far right. Perhaps you should look at a political spectrum before you join a political forum.

Blatant lie. Fascism is government manipulation of markets. It is a form of socialism. Democrats.
Science is not politics. Science has no politics. There is no such thing as 'political science'.

Chauvin was convicted of the federal crime of violating Floyd's civil rights. He received a sentence of 21 years for that crime.
That was in addition to the murder conviction for the state crimes.

No. Chauvin was convicted of being a cop doing his duty and of being a politically incorrect person. He never received a fair trial.
Floyd died of a drug overdose (fentanyl).

Not only does that depend on the particular incitement law being used, but you're also wrong. Criminal incitement refers to conduct, words, or other means that urge or naturally lead others to riot, violence, or insurrection.

Agreed, but that is a hard standard to meet. You must prove I would not have committed that violence except for your incitement. It must be immediate and include some element of passion.

If I tell you to attack the Capitol tomorrow and you do it, that is not incitement. By tomorrow your level of passion would have passed and my urgings today did not cause you to act tomorrow. And, you cannot prove your actions were due to my statements.

Dumb Fuck Tuck was on opposite consummate professional Chris Hayes.

That means that anybody watching Carlson was a drooling idiot.

Why would Fox management even care what it's drooling idiot audience was watching?
They're probably the only channel that those people know how to access.
Well, that and the one with Duck Dynasty if that's still on.

Chris Hayes???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Furthermore, in Brandenburg v. Ohio, the Supreme Court ruled that incitement of events in the indefinite future was protected, but encouragement of "imminent" illegal acts was not protected.

Yes, "imminent" is an important element. That leaves out anything you saw on television or what anybody said unless I do it immediately caused by your action. And, you have to prove I intended to cause that action.
