Are Mormons Christian?

All of the scriptures which are found in the Bible were being used prior to Nicea. Until Constantine, it was difficult to assemble all of the bishops to ever have such a council.

They should have just video chatted and skipped the whole getting together in one place drinking wine thing.

Place Added same difference.

Not the "same difference."

Before the canon was decided...there was no Bible...at least, not the New Testament part of the Bible.

EVERYTHING was "added" at that time...or more exactly, agreement was reached on what would be considered the books of the New Testament (not called that at that time.)

Some books have been added and some discarded since that time.

TO EVERYONE SPEAKING OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION:

That is what it is...The Book of Revelation...not Revelations. Alex Trebek would give a no to an answer of Revelations when it should be Revelation.

“Are Mormons Christian?” Since the 1820s, when Joseph Smith founded the religious movement, evangelicals and other orthodox Christians have answered with a resounding “no.”

What do the board christians say?

No! "many come in my name but they aren't mine"

The reason why the Anglican church was created was so that Henry VIII could dump Catherine of Aragon for Anne Boleyn. I've always found the origins of the other protestant churches to be more inspired than that.

LOLOL.. I know. I just didn't realize that's what your post was about.

Think about why the Anglican religion was formed. ;)

In the early stages, because the Pope, under the thumb of the Emperor, refused to annul Henry's false marriage to his brother's wife, but that made it possible for British people to return en masse to the Christianity Augustine was sent to replace with Popery.

it doesn't.....but on the other hand they believe that Jesus was incarnate and died to save us from our sins....that is the definition of Christian......

Again, the problem with this is the sacrifice is not part of salvation for LDS and the reality that they believe that Christ isn't any more of God than you are.

sorry, you are simply wrong......
Central to Latter-day Saint doctrine is the belief in grace, the saving and strengthening power of Jesus Christ.

Mormons believe that all human beings are on this earth to learn, grow, and progress, and ultimately return to the presence of God. However, this outcome is dependent on the grace of Jesus Christ and obedience to His teachings.

To Latter-day Saints, “grace” refers to the power of Christ to rescue human beings from the effects of death and sin. In other words, the grace made possible by Christ’s atonement enables all mankind to overcome death (through the power of the resurrection) and sin (through the power of forgiveness and sanctification). By this grace, individuals can also receive relief from trials or divine help and strength to overcome challenges, weaknesses, temptations, and sins, and begin life anew.

Without grace, or Christ’s divine gift, mankind could not be resurrected from death or overcome the inevitable effects of sin.

Augustine's religion was Catholicism.
