Intelligent ≠ Sane. Consider that both Ted Bundy and Ted Kaczynski were both very intelligent and very insane.

The key question is "are a person's posts rational in nature?"

Paranoid delusions that socialists are going to bust down doors and take our freedom are not rational.

Claiming an election was stolen despite 62(?) court judgements stating otherwise, is not rational.

Advocating the violent overthrow of the US government out of fear is not rational.

The other trolls, like Hawkeye Into the Night, PmP, TDAK, "Truth" Detector", post like children and when asked for clarification.. they run away. They have no clue what they're talking about other than Tucker said it so it's their opportunity to troll. They don't even know what Tucker means.

Most of those you listed are clearly mentally handicapped in one way or another....and most seem to be average or less in intelligence. I have no doubt TA is intelligent. For that matter, I think Pmp is above average in intelligence. His problem seems to be a deep-seated hatred of his fellow human beings. In short, he's evil.

PmP is one of the few I have on ignore. He/she started bringing up my mom. It's hard to have "red lines" here... we're very lightly moderated.. but family is one, the other is threatening violence.

Trolling is an effort to elicit an emotional reaction. The key is to put reason over emotion and see the effort for what it is. In short, don't take it personal.

More important, IMO, is to consider the entire personality. In Pmp's case, all he does is troll. While I think he's capable of being more intelligent, he chooses not to be. Some people are incapable of being more. Truth Detector, TDAK and Grokmaster are examples. Not so with Pmp and, to a lesser extent, Lionfish. In the latter's case, it's more about laziness. Being a slacker. Pmp chooses to be evil. There's a difference when having a choice.

TA is an example of an intelligent person succumbing to fear and paranoia. I suspect he might be in the early stages of dementia or other mental disorder causing the paranoia. If true, that's not a choice as Pmp has made, that's a condition just like any other physical ailment.
