Putin has war plans involving mini nuclear wars, where the Soviets did not. That means that it is very possible Putin could start a mini nuclear war, and hope for the best.

Putin also has extensive plans for a mini nuclear war. These plans include a single nuclear weapon used on a single city, and trying to get advantage from that. He believes that the US might let him get away with a single nuclear weapon, rather than risk full nuclear war.

On the bright side, Russian nuclear command works differently than US nuclear command. Putin has to give orders to generals who then decide whether to follow those orders. He does not have direct command over the nuclear weapons like the US President. Even if things get very bad, there is still hope that the Russian generals will not be willing to go down Putin's rabbit hole.

Several hundred Russians have died in bizarre "accidents." Clearly, Putin is killing all who would oppose him. He is trying to build an absolute power base that will allow him to do crazy things.

Troops have been in Ukraine training their military since Putin invaded Crimea.

I have no problem believing that there are still troops training Ukrainian forces as we speak. Not just in Germany.

I don't believe they will be anywhere near the front lines, though.

1420 interviews people on the streets in Russia. Most are very afraid to say anything about Putin and his lovely war. They say it, that saying something against it might get them dragged away by the police for retraining. But some do say it. Putin controls the TV and papers. He permits no opposing opinions.

If so, it seems like they had it right, Putin attacked them. They had to fight back. Anyone on Russia's border should be preparing for an attack. Does that amuse you?
