But the government will be able to do that if we stopped wasting so much money on foreign wars and occupations, and taxed the 1% at higher rates.

Yes, but if you're going to say living standards went up in America, so Capitalism is good, you can also say living standards went up in North Korea, so dictatorships are good.

North Korea's command economy is more similar to America's Capitalism than it is to South Korea's economy which is Liberal Socialist, not Capitalist.

First of all, American intervention in WWI helped to create Nazism and Fascism. Secondly, getting involved in WWII led to Soviet occupation in Eastern Europe. And finally, I'm not saying we have to ignore the world. I'm saying we need to stop unnecessary wars and occupations.

If he was a Republican, you'd hate him.

People spending money is good, that's what causes the economy to thrive. Things get bad when there isn't enough money moving around, and that's what happens under Capitalism because wealth becomes too centralized.
