Black Female Obesity is NOT the Fault of the Black Female!!! ... apparently...

ive cut about 30 lbs from 16/8 if minimum with some keto and omad thrown in for good measure. I wasnt even obese, just prepping myself for the disappearance of youth, and a more thoughtful approach to the the future of my worldly vehicle.

Oh Ok. if you have inside information on why science and psychology, in particular, see some emotional and physical reasons people have trouble losing weight and maintaining it, how can I argue. You should read the info. The science is interesting.

He HAS read the information you've provided. So have I.

He has then called it out for the horseshit that it is. So have I.

It's not easy to lose weight, but I've told you how it's done. The knowledge is out there for all to discover.

I have. people eat too many carbs and too often. the setpoint shit is just a metaphor taken from the hvac world, you idiot.

Yup. Too many carbs. Too many sugars. Too much constant grazing. Too much overall intake. Even too much of a good thing isn't a good thing.

I know precisely why much of my family is overweight. Plenty of them get a bit of exercise, but they eat too much food too often. They eat too many carbs. They eat too many snacks.

I've lost 35 pounds. How have I done it?? I have cut back on sugars significantly. I have cut back on carbs a bit. I eat less food in a day than I used to. I eat less often than I used to. I exercise much more than I used to. Etc... See how that works?? It had absolutely nothing to do with my "weight thermostat" nor whatever other BS Gonzo's articles mentioned...

Why do you feel compelled to call me a name?
Why do you feel compelled to call Donald Trump "Daffy"? You've, in the past, claimed that name-calling is childish. Therefore, by YOUR OWN criteria, you are childish.

I argued without being nasty
Surprisingly true, with regard to this thread...

and provided you with zome science backing my position.
Links and videos are not science. Science is a set of falsifiable theories.

Here is a 4.5 min video. Perhaps you can understand that without getting angry?>
Did not watch the video. I suggest that you learn how to form your own arguments.

It is OBVIOUSLY due to racism... ;) ;)

It is OBVIOUSLY completely unrelated to their dietary habits... ;) ;)

and their evil advisors filling their heads with "setpoint theory" lies.

I guess you could say its true that people only get a certain amount of obese from eating shitty all the time. that's their "setpoint".

This thread is much like the political ones. Rightys absolutely will not listen to anything that disputes their preconceptions and insult those who argue with them.
Bigotry. Projection.

Their stance is" I know for a fact what causes weight gain and I refuse to listen to your side, If you have a different view it is proof that you are stupid or lying since what I believe in beyond reproach."
Strawman. Lie. Posters HAVE been listening to your side. They have read through the links that you have provided, probably even closer than you have read through them yourself. They just find it to be very weak argumentation and have explained why they think so.

Sorry I dared to show the science and another side. That is not permitted.
It IS permitted and there is no need to be sorry for doing so. I'm glad that you're here and participating. Links and videos are 'another side', but they are not science. Neither are the studies referenced within those links...

the science is you can never go back to your old eating habits. there is no "after dieting". that's the reality. so if you lost weight in an unsustainable way (exercizing 6 rs a day), you probably will not be able to sustain that. but if you lost it through keto and IF, that's doable.

Another great point! The method of weight loss is important too. It needs to be sustainable and able to be permanently incorporated into a lifestyle.

That's why many dieting attempts ultimately "fail". There was never any permanent lifestyle change being made. If you revert back to old ways after you lose weight, you will gain your weight back. The change needs to be permanent.

That's why attempts such as bypass surgery tend to fail also. People haven't changed their eating habits, so they gain their weight back.

That's why people who do a shit-ton of exercise and still make bad food choices don't keep the weight off either. That amount of exercise is not sustainable, especially as one gets older.

Exercise can 'assist', bypass surgery can 'assist', but permanently changing eating habits is how one permanently keeps excess weight off. Part-time changing eating habits only part-time keep excess weight off... Only makes sense...

ive cut about 30 lbs
Good for you!!! Let's see how you did it...

from 16/8 if minimum
Intermittent Fasting... nice! That means that you aren't constantly shoving food down your face. Makes sense why that would work, as it is sustainable.

with some keto and omad thrown in for good measure.
Eating better foods and even making the IF more extreme at times... nice! That means you are getting better nutritional value out of what you eat, along with not overeating. Sustainable, and makes sense why you've had the success that you've had.

I wasnt even obese, just prepping myself for the disappearance of youth, and a more thoughtful approach to the the future of my worldly vehicle.
Good for you for being pro-active about it! Once I hit 210lbs, it finally hit me that I needed to make permanent changes. Now, I am down to the mid-upper 170s and trending downward. I haven't gained any of it back since...

I love intermittent fasting. there's eating and then not eating. both are necessary!

Precisely! I love it too... People tend to confuse it with starving oneself, but that's not at all what one is doing. When I have my one meal (or my one meal with a smaller 2nd meal, as I do mix it up for social events and stuff), I don't starve myself in the slightest. I don't count calories either. I simply eat until I feel satiated and then I'm done eating.

Another bonus to my eating habit changes is that I no longer get heartburn anymore. I used to pound tums on a regular basis. Now I don't even touch the damn things.

awesome, gfm. thanks for the support and you are laudable for your self same changes. im glad to have met you. and im glad you're of such a noble character that you will come and argue against the voluminous misinformation foisted upon humanity by bad actors!
