You do realize that a public service program doesn't even have to take place during the games? The NFL can fund any kind of outreach that they deem fit.

Didn't they go out of their way with the domestic violence issues? Didn't MLB spend an entire season 'thanking' fans for coming back after the strike that killed the World Series?

And many like trump/Cheney/Bush were cowards who avoided the war the way the privileged did. Ali stood by his convictions.

Maybe they should do away with the high tech helmets that make spearing so much easier? Funny how the game changed into a show of strength with very few finesse positions. The equipment made it possible.

I say leather helmets should make a comeback.

NFL got blackmailed over the domestic abuse thing.

Like I said they can run their business any way they want. They are bleeding fans and I am not just talking about myself. Ratings are down across the board.

I am not blaming it on just one thing. It is a multitude of issues. But ultimately for most people sports are an escape. Having PSAs is not what they are looking for

This is ridiculous. The method of their protest is to disrupt the traditional ceremony. They will not settle for a mere PSA and you know it. They want attention for their cause and they will make sure they get it no matter what the bottom line is for their employer.

In my opinion, they should be fired for feeding into a controversy (while on the job) that could lead to alienating customers. It's a business, not a social program. Start a social justice league if you want to use the sport to highlight your cause. Don't hijack your employer's workplace and disrupt the scene. Be professional

It will go down as a humongous mistake putting two teams in Los Angeles. Despite the huge population, they fail to realize the economic realities. The majority of the population in LA can not afford a ticket to an NFL game and eat etc.

But they have had this weird fascination with having a team there in spite of previous failures.

I believe Vegas will be a similar experience for the Raiders.

The NFL is on an unstoppable downward slide.

Here are the issues that have killed the NFL in no particular order

1) forcing payment for huge stadiums on taxpayers
2) obsession with breast cancer awareness
3) the obsession with CTE and the resulting bogus calls
4) the politicization of the game. Nobody is saying people like Kaepernick can’t be an activist. Jim Brown was a huge activist. But he kept it off the field

Number three will the final nail as more and more parents keep their sons out of football

I believe that there has been a coordinated leftist attack against the NFL because it was one of the last bastions of conservatism in the country
